FFXIV recent RMT spam solution?

FFXIV rolled out a rmt spam solution that seems to be working for them. In that when you block a spammer in the chat it reports them automatically. The difference from that to us, is that if the spammer gets to a certain amount of blocks. It disables their ability to speaks for hours. In return helping people logging in not seeing these spams.

I’m assuming the count requirement don’t work for people in the same guild blocking someone. Since there are people/guild that are trolls.

Think if someone gets 10 random blocks then is safe to say you spamming or are violating some rule.

Think this should be in TOS?

Completely depends on how the community uses it. Do they abuse it, or use it for the intended purpose.

Isnt FFXIV p2p? Harder (more expensive) to log into 9 other alt accounts and abuse. F2P not so much.

That didn’t stop the droves of botters when TOS was p2p during early access.
