Fencer Utility Builds (By a New Player)

So I just wanted to post a couple builds I was playing with and see if anyone had any constructive feedback on what could be done to improve them, or if they are decent on their own.

The idea behind the first one is being able to DPS, while Off Tanking when the situation arises. It’s a mix of defensive debuffs, some CC’s, Evasion Buffs, Swash Buckling to pull agro (when needed), and skills to prevent attack damage with proper timing (in theory since obviously I haven’t played the game yet to be able to test it)

The Second one is meant be able to DPS, but substitutes Peltasta with Squire so you have the option to set up shops for gear repairs to make extra money on the side. This still maintains a mix of defensive debuffs, some CC’s, Evasion Buffs, and skills to prevent attack damage with proper timing (again, in theory since I have yet to really play the game).

I’m not sure if you can buff your own gear using your own repair skills, but that could be an added bonus as well if that’s in fact possible since Rapiers are rather fragile from what I’ve read. And who doesn’t want a little extra cash?

Any tips or helpful advice is appreciated :). This is mostly me playing around with the simulator for fun. So feedback is most welcomed.

From one uninformed player to the next, I see merchant classes as all or none(After all, why would anyone buy anything from a rank 1 merchant instead of a rank 2 or 3?), so I’d advise against being a squire. Besides, it sounds like merchanting isn’t your main focus, and wasting a rank in Squire means you’re unnecessarily cutting your strength in every regard. Plus but the time you get to that rank, you’ll have other ways to make money.

Edit: Also I was planning on making a fencer for PvP and decided to take advantage of the fact that their skills block attacks with the right timing by going full offense.

The first one is really good, I will run it myself.
Squire rank 1 not worth it IMO.

@TheKing Yeah, I see your point. I might just make an alt that eventually goes full squire for the utility of it. Could be usefull for repairing my own gear and such as well. Thanks for the feedback

@Derael Thanks for your feedback as well. I’m glad someone else found that build to be acceptable and useful enough to want to use it too ! It took me a lot of researching individual skills on the net to try and make something that (in theory) could be good. Especially since some of the skill descriptions on the wiki pages don’t entirely tell you about the different ways you can use certain attacks. Like how Linker + Pyro builds can link their Fireballs to the mobs with Join Penalty, and then Hangman Knot them together to cause stupid amounts of damage…or shooting attacks through a Cryos Ice Wall to cause a icy bullet spray effect…so many to learn (>.<).
