Wanted to build around doing high burst damaged when the clones are up. So most skills i took in earlier Ranks have the purpose to increase my damage while the clones are up. I took swordman3 cause swordman skills are the only ones that the clones copy as far as i know. I basicly want to set up a skill combo so that in the end i can use Double Slash with buffed damage from Lunge. I got Hoplite2 to further increase the damage dealt by pierce that is also buffed by the Fencer Attaque Coquille. I just have one question left, i read that the damage type of Kunai changes. Is it possible to change the Kunai attack to pierce so that i can build a 2nd skill combo with the increased pierce damage? If thats not the case any ideas if i should change Hoplite2 to something else cause without a Pierce Combo that i can use with Kunai and my Clones i dont see a point in increasing my Pierce damage that much. Hope you understand what i want to achieve with this build and experienced players can tell me if it makes sense / is even possible to do.
Hoplite doesn’t synergize well with fencer. You can’t spear lunge without being equipped with a Spear, and Fencer skills are rapier-only, so you would need to swap weapons during combo, which ( it’s just my opinion though) will reduce the burst window, given that the debuffs like Spear Lunge, Coquille and Lunge don’t stay up for long.
I’m also building an fencer-shinobi build, for maximum burst, but i went with highlander c2 for that for some reasons:

Highlander has Cross-cut which inflicts bleed and Double Slash from swordsman c3 deals bonus damage to bleeding targets;

Even though skyliner got it’s CD back, it’s a solid skill, with overheat and low cd;
My planned combo is: Bunshin > Coquille > Kunai x2 > Sept > Cross cut> Lunge > Double Slash spam.
Still don’t know if i will be able to do it all in 20s ( bunshin maximum duration) but, if i manage do handle it, the burst will be insane, but i will be locked using rapier, which have low durability and lower damage compared to two handed weapons.
I actually talked with another guy and also changed to the same build with highlander2! 
I am also not sure if it is going to be possible to pull the combo off in the end, but it seems to be the best option for a fencer / shinobi burst build.
I’m sword3->hl1 right now, going for hl2 next.
I would LOVE if cross guard didn’t require 2h sword 
It has an interesting synergy with thrust, seems to make continuous attacks attribute 100% proc?
I hear clones don’t mimic 2h auto attack, so spamming thrust after double slash may be good.
I guess swap will work if you go rapier though, but tedious and maybe lost dps?
I was thinking of barb, if it gets the slash debuff, but maybe fencer is better! Maybe even hl3 for armor debuff?
Was just thinking of a build like this today when researching a new alt to make. I feel like this could be the highest burst DPS in the swordsmen tree (if not the game).
For the combo, I feel like you do not need to slot on Sept til after the clones are gone - because they cannot copy it and you make be riding the 20s limit including it.
Pain barrier > Bunshin > Coquille > Kunai x2 > Cross cut> Lunge > Double Slash x3 > Thrust or bash depending on mob weakness > Clones end > Coquile > Sept.
I took Barbarian 3 for the AOE, but yes Bunshin + Coquille will do a ton but, I would recommend taking Hop3 for Finestra + Spear Lunge.
If I were to build a pure bossing build I’ll go Sword2 for PB Restrain, Highlander 1 Crossguard, Hop2 Spear Lunge and Finestra, Fencer1 Shinobi1
Pain Barrier > Finestra > Bunshin > Spear Lunge > Coquille > Kunaix2
