Fencer PVP - STR:CON:DEX or FULL DEX? whats the best?

I want to know if the high DEX (crit attak and evasion) is more usefull than any build of STR:CON:DEX .

I have Corsair C1 to hook enemies and do my combo.

My build is Sword C2 (for Restrain) > Peltasta (for guardian and swash) > Rodelero C2 (for many CC’s and evade magic damage) > Fencer (Damage) > Corsair (for hook and Evade).

Thinking about itens who have stats like glass brac for block penetration and cards for more dex, what you guys think about the stats distribuition?

70-80 con rest dex.
The reason being for con is against mages
rest to dex cuz you are a fencer and why not?
if i were you i’d definitely get glass bracelets not only block pene but also 81 magic defense each, high magic def will definitely help. (assuming you’ll get enough evasion so that nothing physical bothers you, thats the goal of the fencer.)
i’d also get block penetration gems on your gloves instead of the typical critical attack on the gloves since you are pvping, and you cannot rely on crits in pvp anyway, (not to mention that damage has nothing to do with pvp performance, otherwise wizards and cleric pvp builds wouldn’t go full con)

It’s gonna be hell for you in PVP with that build. If you follow the typical Fencer high dex with some con, you’ll basically do no damage to most clerics and mages, and at least half of the swordies you’ll face. Glass bracelets and gems alone are not gonna cut it for block pen. You also won’t get close enough to archers because no gap closers, but if you somehow manage to do so, you wont have the damage to kill them because your kit offers no burst.

It could work if you play full support, hang back and protect your clerics and mages, and just hook, stun, and bash people, but then you’re heavily reliant on having a strong DPS carry on your team because you’ll offer nothing to your team in terms of damage.

i think on full str and hit critical cap with items

High DEX is useless in PvP. You want some DEX to not get one shot by Archers. You want CON to survive Wiz CCs and you want STR to penetrate block from Wiz and Clerics.

Your build doesn’t seem like a damage dealer so I’d go CON>DEX>STR. Slithering to remove Dark Theurge and such, Hook to allow your team mates deal damage and and Flanconnade with Restrain just to proc Stun/Slow for disabling someone (along with Rode skills).

I am a fencer player and my build is PVP focused.

The first thing you have to take note is how your team will be. The ideal is to have a plague doctor at least, in the case of 2x2.

I focus on an off tank with pel2>rode1>corsair>fencer3

The ideia with stats is to take as many con and dex you can, but also trying to get str. Decide this by the equips you have available.

I can’t write too much because I am at college, but intend to make a guide based on informations already confirmed concerning PVP fencing.

TL;DR make your character as versatile as you can and get lota of good itens and friends.

Why not Sw2>pelt? Restrain is very good except against Bloodletting.

I play PVP as a Fencer but my build is not what you can call “pvp focused”, but it… works somewhat. Farming the 50 daily points is actually fun. Despite for a few frustrating bugs and the new nightmare that are Hunters and Subzero Shield, everyone is making a Hunter now for 2vs2 lol.

It’s decent class for 2vs2, just forget 5vs5 as there are more builds suited for this meta. Of course you can play 5vs5 and have fun, but your Fencer skills does not bring much to the big 5fps fights unlike Catas, and your Iron Hook is capped at 5/6/7 at maximum so your support is also limited unlike Corsair 2/3, and Corsair 2 burst with hexen dropper or dropper + pistol shot is amazing, check the corsair c3 pvp videos from that guy who post here.

Regarding your build, seriously, only one rank of Fencer will gimps you instead of helping because you’ll never be a Fencer c2 to get the Preparation burst, not even Fencer c3 in the near future. You can pick Rodelero 2 -> Corsair 1 -> Dragoon for the burst that you need and go Dragoon 2 that is amazing too.

But there’s also great path f you like shields this much:

Go Rodelero 3 Corsair Murmillo.

Rodelero 3 burst is good too, Hook -> High kick + Slithering into shooting start demolishes people and you’ll be set to go Murmillo at r8 to enjoy all those strike damage debuffs and the Helmet bonus to your peltasta/rodelero skills and a jumping skill to combo with Hook.

If you go this route of yours, you’ll miss Fencer c2’s Preparation’s burst that is what makes the skill Sept Etoiles deadly and at r8 you’ll be giving up Fencer c3 with is a great dps class. So you either go Rodel 3 Murm or reroll into Fencer c2 -> Fencer c3 or go Rodelero 2 Corsair Dragoon.

Yes, unfortunately, you can’t fit Corsair and Rodelero 2 on Fencer c3 builds and Fencer c1 alone sux.

Now you decide, fencer c2 burst is super strong if your opponent has less than 30k hp or is not affected by c1 status immunity, one iron hook and you can do 40k combos easily IF Coquille connects (to ignore his defense) and the RNG block don’t ■■■■ on you, it’s a matter of having money for attributes too which is not my case, lol, but you can do fine with a few millions and somewhat cheap gear + Venier.

About stats evasion is the best EHP you have vs archers, it does not matter if you have 33k hp, you’ll take one broadhead arrow and die, also, you need to Crit and hit people, a green gem leather gloves is not enough sometimes, even with 320 dex. Other swords (except the very very rich ones) are food to a Fencer, monks and most archers are okay to fight, even support clerics if you and yoru partner manages to neutralize their duo.

A few str points and block pen gear like glass and gloves will helps you deal with 40k abomination wizards with Aias, but magic still wreaks you if you don’t pick rodelero 2, Dark Theurge is very hard to deal but you’ll have a partner to help you and the new anti-dark gear seems promising, which solves another huge meta threat that are the Bokors.

I uploaded a few videos on my channel, the build is Peltasta c1, Highlander c2, Corsair c1, Fencer c2.

I took pelt2 because of high guard for ocasional pve and some block combo with C guard against archers, but as a pure pvp, swrd2 is also an option, if not a must.

Nice tips!!

So… for pvp, which build suits better for fencer?

  • swordman2 - peltasta1 - xxxx - xxxx - fencer3, restrain looks really good

or

  • swordman1 - peltasta1 - xxxx - xxxx - xxxx - fencer3, getting here barbarian3 or highlander3? o.O

Get Corsair at rank 5 because you want Iron Hook. Pelt is good for manual block and more evasion. Anything else depends on personal preference, I guess.

The thing here is, you will take advantage of Fencer3 sustained damage to execute (instakill on low HP or near death targets). All previous classes will support you depending on your playstyle.

CC focused with SwordRodesair.
Damage focused with Barbsair
Defense focused with PeltaRode (from Murmillo logic)

I don’t see Highlander fitting because you lose too much CC and his most important PVP tools, Crown and Crosscut, are STR dependent, which you might not have that much with this build.

You might try to find a cleric friend with zalciai and monstrance (krivis+priest), then you can put more points in STR. But that might actually not work in the end.

Holy sht my old build =(

Let me guess, you felt for the SW 3 meme and is missing your other utility skills?

Exatamente T_T …
