Fencer Evasion Tank, could you point me in the right direction?

Hi There,

Really interested and hyped to make a fencer tank.

Originally i was planning to go Pelt 3 > Squire 1 > Fencer 2.

The thinking behind the squire is to get arrest and to repair my weapon on the go, as for some strange reason rapiers have really low durability. Anyways after some research and talking to people, it seems all the lower swordsman classes except spear builds are a bit of a mess, and going Pelt 3 isn’t always the best bet. After reading up on @Cathexis post taunting & pressing block is not helpful to a party, going to need to do some damage to help the dps, which is where the fencer 2 comes in, aswell as having incredible evasion, but everything before that just confuses the hell out of me. I also dont really want to go Rodel 2, as i believe its only use is for one skill to block magic damage, the rest looks incredibly bad…

Be good to hear your guys opinions
~Harry.

I would honestly think twice about building around evasion tanking. Its nice early on and in certain dungeons, but magic damage is not evadable or blockable and it will wreck you; that’s the reason many people expecting to go full tank take Rodel to reduce magic damage with Slithering.

To tank you don’t have to taunt and hold C. I play two swordsmen and both are on the tankier side and I do a decent amount of damage by taunting, blocking until they group up, and then using CD skills with pain barrier up.
