Fencer: Dex->Crit or all STR?

Just came back for the patch and saw that Dex was made to scale attack speed, and a lot of skills scale with it too. Saw a few people mentioning getting dex to ~200 then rest strength. However now that I’m a decently high level (260+) I thought I should look into gems and stuff, but I’m noticing no one seems to go green gems for crit rate, even though with so much dex you should have a pretyt high crit attack.

Then after some research it seems crit chance is soft-capped at around 25-30%, which leads me to believe that re-statting into full strength would just be so much better overall and that I’ve been needlessly crippling myself thinking I could make this big crit build.

Am I wrong? should I re-stat into full Str and ignore crits altogether? I haven’t noticed much of a difference in skill speed, if any at all so I’m feeling my 190 dex investment has been a complete waste. :S

Crit formula is (CRIT RATE-CRIT RESISTANCE)exponent0.6
this means that as the number grows the value it gives gets lower, for 40% you need 500 crit rate after the enemy resistance. For 60% you need 900.

i have a question related to his question

so lets say i can get 50% critical rate all the time

would it be more beneficial for me to go all dex for damage(critical attack) and yellow gems for weapon(critical attack)

or

i should still go str for raw physical dmg and red gems for weapon

Is there any information on about how much crit resistance enemies have a different levels?

for 40% you need 500 crit rate after the enemy resistance.

Could be easy to get (gem gives like 350 or something) but if the enemy has 5000 crit resistance then I dunno.

I have 500 crate right now and still have a hard time critting but when it does crit, it’s one hell of a boost. IMO yellow gems would only work well for skills with crit attributes like double slash and moulinet but they dont have 100% uptime

What gems are you using on main and sub weps?
Are you using green gems to increase crit rate?

yup a total of 4 level 7s
