Fencer build questions

I am gearing up for the start of the founders launch and I want my 1st character to be a Fencer. Here are some questions I have.

  1. I’ve seen some skill descriptions say Rapier/Pistol combo. is that possible? I would really like to play that combo.

  2. I want to have some Squire skills like Repair, weapon/armor maintenance. By picking these skills do i lose out a lot on not getting other skills?

  3. here is a rough build i worked up.

  1. The rapier+pistol combo is when the rank 8 is available so you take corsair c3 > fencer

  2. i don’t have much to say about squires but if you want damage is not really worthy, however utility is always appreciated.

  3. swordsman c3 is really bad even for restraint itself but for pvp purposes is acceptable, now the barb c1 i dont understand it maybe if you take peltasta (for the utility in swash buckling) could be better.

the 2) and 3) are opinions more than advises xd

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. I’ve been reading lately that Fencer dmg is heavily skill based. I like the rapier/pistol look and the idea of the class, but I would like to play it more like a Fast striking melee/range hybrid with some support to a party in terms of Squire repairs. Please let me know if you have any recommendations on a build that might suit my desired play style.

Can you elaborate on how that would fit my play style? Do Monks get to repair things or buff? Can they use Rapier/pistol also? Any further insight would be appreciated.

Monk is a fast striking melee/range hybrid.
It has fast melee attack with some range skills. It has bunch of support skills like heals and buffs from priest.
It was just a random idea. Monk is not that good as far as I know but it came in my mind when I read melee/range hybrid.

Thank you ! I actually have been lvl’ing a future Monk =P Thanks for the feedback. lvl’ing is slow, but I like how survivable I am. I’m only lvl 28 atm.
