hello everyone
i’m making this post with the intention of showing to the community and maybe (if i get lucky) some Dev, the problems that i had, playing with the necromancer class. And why i think that the measures that wee see in the ktest Is not what the class needs
Besides, hope that this will be helpful for someone.
(i’ve been playing since the pre-release, and since then my goal is to have the best necromancer that i can get, love that class… so… i’ve been testing a lot)
i will divide this in four parts:
• about the class
• My opinion about each one of the skills, and the problems or the good stuff about it
• overall problems and Suggestions
• Builds that i already tested (i will try to explain the pros and cons that i see in each one)

Is visible the much care that was put to conceive this character, I mean, each monster generates a unique fragment, which affects the appearance of skills. I love it, it’s so beautiful and unlike any other necromancer I’ve seen in other games.
the necromancer revive the bones but store the flesh, so he can use it latter for other purposes… It’s Brilliant.
But sadly, averyone that uses that classe seems to be kind of desaponted with it’s performance on the end game. i mean, if you whant to kill bees while you are Miles away, you are fine, this class works perfectly for that.
i only know about two other people that are fanitic about necromancer as me, One is from ktos and another from the same server as me … the two removed necromancer c3 from the build, while the korean remained with necro c2 being a more pve player, the brazilian left necro c1 because its focus was on pvp.
And I’m persistent, I left a resetted character with a build in mind, which I believe will please me even though there are other, much stronger, rank8 classes.

-My opinion about each one of the skills, and the problems or the good stuff about it-

Necromancer c1
good stuff:
• Flesh Cannon: perfect! is Beautiful, strong and a real cool way to spread decay.
• Dirty Pole: Best skill in this game lol. It’s so versatile! you can protect your self in pvp from missile attacks, can spread decay by Bringing the monsters close to it, can use to throw Shards, or maybe link it with a boss, so you get double damage (this last one not so good as befor of the link readjustment, but still a very nice interaction)
• Create Shoggoth: it’s a really good way to spread decay, have a lot of potential to improvements, but today i have it just for spread decay
PROBLEMATIC STUFF
•Gather Corpse: it had improvide thanks to the rework on the damage formula, but still a bad skill (what is sad, couse it have a real cool animation)
why i think it is bad? you have to kill the monster with this skill to collect the fragment, and your character gets stuck while in the animation, so that in a crazy map like the hunting ground 315, is ask to get some hard hits until the animation ends. You can just use desintegration and avoid all this trouble
• Flesh Hoop: Another gorgeous skill, but that i have to use just for the atributte, and yet get problemns with the attribute.
why i think it is bad? it have a maximun number of hits, Which computes all the monsters hit, so if you had a mob with 15 monsters it just hits one time in each monster.
I know this seems very ambitious, but has another classes in rank8 that can deal with 15 monsters at once. I don’t feel like that skill is worth of my invetimente, just to cause one or two hits in a mob every 25 sec.
and about the attribute: you have to go away from the monster and come back, for the effect stack’s. So it’s very hard to get a good number of stacks.
Create Shoggoth: it’s weird how the necrominion work’s. You have four slots but just one get some effect…
NECROMANCER C2
Good stuff
• Disinter: perfect! best way to collect fragments.
(no more good stuff from here)
PROBLEMATIC STUFF
• Corpse Tower: is soooooooooo cool that big eye! But it does such a little damage and just in one monster at the time. And that attribute, dosen’t make sense to me, i mean, why it resurrect a monster? i don’t get the theme, and again you need to kill the monster with this skill to trigger.
• Raise Dead: in the most recent latest patch, wee see that you guys are making some improvements on the damage of the pets, and that is great, but i don’t think that will solve the problem.

the UI need’s to be improve, because is common that some of the summons don’t attack when you whant, even when they are next to the target.

they attack just one monster at the time, just like the other skills in the necromaner tree, what means that when bigger the mob, bigger your dificulty to kill everyone. They have some aoe, but the mob needs to be so close that makes really hard to depende of the pets to kill something.

Attribute to collect bodies also compete for the last hit
i mean, why Temple shooter is by far the favorite summon for sorcerers? because he can hit everyone at the same time with his basic attack.
NECROMANCER C3
PROBLEMATIC STUFF
• Raise Skull Archer: same as the Raise dead.
• Flesh Strike: I do not understand the purpose of this skill. Never used it in a efficient way! it have a enormus cast, cooldown and downside! all that to give one hit in a small mob (depending on the aoe) and cause decay? we have others skills that spread decay in a eficient way, dont need another one like this
As if it were not enough we kill Shoggoth and only get to use it again after 5 minutes. Shoggoth is a usefull companion, and we love he, Blow it up makes me feel sad.
this is the Most problematic skill in my opinion, it’s a rank8 skill that we never use.

necro have to many single targets or one hit skills, as the flesh hoop, corpse tower, esqueletos, flesh strike. They all hit more than one monster, but only once or twice, and only one monster at a time.
i beliave that have some changes that would be extremely helpful in some situations that i find my self in trouble.
• Corpse Tower, would be nice if the tower Ensure to the skelletons some buff, similar to the bokor’s flag.
i imagined something relatad to the critical rate and acurracy of the summons, somenthing like if the big eye was watching everything, and connected through the magic, given them some advantege.
the single hit that it does is usefull to remove X7 in pvp, but it’s not a damage skill. So, why not turn it into a suport skill?
• Flesh Hoop: that would be a amazing skill if the duration of it was desasosiated of de number of hits. Something like “it hits everyone in the range for 10 seconds, and on each hit, stacks one time the attribute”
so in this way i could mob and deal damage at the same time, while my pets do the hard work.
• Skeletons: The damage buff is nice, but i don’t think that will solve the problem, i mean, they will still hit just one target at the time.
i would like to suggest that Instead of raising the flat damage, you guys do it in a way that the damage is spreaded
something like the soldier spinning her sword, dealing damage in a area, and the archer firing three or more arows instead of one.
the damage will be the same, but in a efficient way. for exemple:
Instead of the skeletons dealing 3000 damage on 10 different targets (one skeleton for each target) each would give 300 damage on the 10 targets, so when you add the damage from the 10 skeletons the result would be the same, 3000 in each, but Would be much better during game play, since less control skills would be required to cause them to deal damage
• Flesh Strike and Create Shoggoth - i will talk about this two toghether, because i dream in this sweet interaction:
so… instead of exploding the Shoggoth, flesh strike could throw Fragments of the boss cards equipd into the necrominion, that way we can see an advantage in having four cards there. Then, this boss Fragments would make an upgrade into the shoogoth, or summoning a new pet maybe, like a frankie stein monster made of those boss. it could be stronger as the number of enemys hit increase, or just summoning it for a short time dealing a good amount of damage.
I imagined something similar in my head
i know that last one looks like a dream, but anyway.

After the rework in the damage formula, and my first character of all, was:
wizz > Cryo3 > sorcerer> necroc2
then i I abandoned this plan, near to lvl 100, because i realize that i could not Depend on the damage of summons.
so I went:
wiz > pyro c3 > sorcer> necro c2
but i also give it up, when i realize that the flesh cannon should be the focus, cause is the best skill.
so i I finally went:
wiz3 > linker > sorcer > necromancer
and use it until the rank8… it’s was the best that we had at the time, but still isint great, dependia 100% do link para matar os monstros do rank8 e os esqueletos não duravam um segundo contra eles.
then came the first rank reset and i don’t touch in my necro, i Was hoping for some improvements in the class.
After the rework everything goes better, my skeletons don’t die in fell seconds, i don’t need wiz3 to flesh cannon, Everything seemed wonderful.
i’ve tested the following builds:
wiz> cryo3> sorcer> necro3
pros: some control, nice interaction with dirty pole, amazing in pvp (but thats not my focus).
cons: depending of frost pillar was the same as depending of link, you have to wait 30 seconds to have some action.
wiz> pyro3> sorcer> necro3
pros: amazing damage
cons: dosen’t have control and pyro do most of the job (i wanted to focus on necro and pets, so i give up of that build)
wiz> pyro3> chrono > necro3
I tested this to see if quicken and slow give more critical to the skeletons, And it seems to work, But not enough, or dosen’t work at all
wiz> pyro2> thauma2 > necro3
tested if i could buff the summons… i can’t
wiz> cryo> psychokino3> necro3
Love this one, possible the one that i will keep
pros: nice control and another ways to do damage while flesh cannon is in cooldown.
cons: less damage that the pyro one
wiz> pyro> psychokino3> necro3
i want to test if the fireball and pyscho pressure combo worth it… but it doesn’t
wiz> cryo> psycho 2 > sorcer> necro3
The one that takes my sleep…
i’m still thinking if i preferer that or the one with psycho3
with this one you have the cat buff, what helps with magnetic force and flesh cannon. The summon have a nice damage, that will Scale depending of the weapon… so may be it’s a bether option now than was in the rank reset weeks.
i still don’t know what to do with my necromancer, but i’m so glad that the Dev team is looking for this.
