Featherfoot rework?

Hey, why dont we make featherfoot something more close to a meele battle mage? That uses blood magic and cursed bones to fight?

Today featherfoot skills have such slow animations, and it’s not even worth to play as a farmer class anymore. We have Shadowmancers and sages that are doing pretty well as farmers.
You see, featherfoot is a fun class. We can even use it to pvp, and reach first page, even rank 1, but let’s be realistic here: Featerfoot was never a top tier class. Nor to kill bosses, or kill waves. You sure can combo it with some circles of Linker, but… anything can clear waves with linker. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

So hear me out, let’s change some skills, make some animations quicker and give some power to featherfoot such as: “Steal buffs”, “Poison aura”, this kind of interesting stuff.

Kurdaitcha, let’s make it a poison aura that poisons or curses every monster in the area that’s get too close to the featherfoot. It would be so confortable to this skill to work like Zealot’s Fanatic Illusion.

image
Ngadhundi, this skill should be a active buff such as SR’s Limacon. With a quicker animation the featherfoot could just hold “c” key to attack with the bone dagger, for tons of damage.

Bone Pointing, this skill has so much potential to work as bone shards floating around the user shooting monsters in range. Even attacking hidden opponents. The more lv the skill has, the more shards floats around the user.

Blood Bath, well… if arrows can make anything bleed. So can cursed magical bone daggers. No?

Thanks :chipmunk:

Enervation, keep the skill as it is. But let’s add something new here: enemys affected by Enervation will have their buffs transfered to the featherfoot. 1 buff per lv of Enervation.

This, this so much. Only This. Need This. Why not this. IMC Come on man, you see this ?

It’s not even like it would be a super op skill without that stupid ass limitation anyway, just LEMME RAIN BLOOD ON ANYONE :tired:

Great, now I have this image of a levitating FF slash wrists and just letting it pour down.

As much as I like auras, the original (bugged) iteration of the skill seemed much more interesting. Also, given that the kurdaitcha is an actual shoe, it make more sense. If you want to stay with this poison theme, the poison could be applied via proximity to the foot print. But again, the kurdaitcha were about cursing their targets to death just as much as poisoning them so its ok to have curse attached to this skill.

The skill you should be looking at is kundela slash. Ngadhundi is actually pretty accurate with what it does (Which is apply poison via “prepared bone knife”).

I like this with the exception of AI in any form. No attacking on their own. No choosing targets to attack on their own. They attack who you have targeted (mouse over, auto target, tab target, whatever its called here) and they either only attack when you attack or they attack at fixed intervals

  • Bones following you around at a fixed formation is not new. The old centurion class could do it (but with other players) and shinobi clones already do it now. That means they (imc) could do it if they wanted to.
  • Attacking on player attack is also not new. Shinobi clones only attack when the player does.
  • Attacking at a fixed interval is also not new. Falconers auto sonic strike selected targets at a fixed interval so it is again a matter of reusing already existing code.

Everything else that involves blood I dunno where they got.

You are forced to use levitation for the bonus damage but I’m often stuck in animation randomly (like hackapell / fencer and some others classes )and it can last 4seconds, so I gave up on that class. The perspective is not clear when you fly so I happen to miss the targets too.
The best way would be that some korean active players forward the ideas if they agree or can think of something better.

FF is still fine as a farmer. I’d much rather have the ability to heal and never use potions than anything shadowmancer or Sage can offer.
