I actually have a very reliable dentist, guy told me I needed to get my tooth pulled, told him to fill it, been fine ever since.
This is a time of mourning.
No, it really isn’t a time of mourning.
So can you tell me who is this Cecil? Is he/she the last lion to live in a specific country and she/he just died?
Rinsing isn’t good enough, flossing is more important. If you want good oral hygiene, then make sure to floss, get an electric soft bristle toothbrush, and fluoride toothpaste. An oral rinse isn’t really necessary, water is good enough if you keep up with flossing and brushing. Water picks are a water too, they don’t get rid of the plaque and bacteria between teeth like flossing does.
As for that poor lion… I kind of want to visit that dentist as a patient and bite his trigger finger off. >.>…
… those “tooth tips” won’t help against wisdom teeth though.
Also for info:
A dentist killed that lion. Therefore, ALL dentists are evil and should not be trusted!
Is that right?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste isn’t going to kill you or cause health problems. As long as you don’t overdo it then you’re fine. When people brush their teeth they spit out the toothpaste, it’s what you’re supposed to do.
Fluoride toothpaste benefits dental health, that is a fact. But, if you already take care of your mouth/teeth then using fluoride toothpaste isn’t absolutely necessary. Flossing daily and brushing is good enough. The fluoride toothpaste, however, helps strengthen enamel and help prevent cavities from forming. Saving you a trip to the dentist.
Avoid drinking it, though. That’s when it begins to affect your health, only a small percentage goes to oral health. Fluoride is in almost everything we consume, it’s there naturally, but we consume so little that the effects on the body are negligible.
If we avoided everything bad for us we wouldn’t be able to function at all. Even sitting in front of the computer to play a video game for 2-4 hours is bad for you. Just like with everything, moderation is key.
Also, I’m not denying the fact that your natural way of oral health works—I’ve used essential oils to treat my allergies and headaches before—but brushing and flossing works really well. Flossing is most effective since it’s the best way to clear food debris and plaque between teeth. Flossing partnered with your natural oral rinse would be good enough to maintain healthy teeth. Well… light brushing may be necessary when you eat sticky foods like caramel…
Anyway, I’m stopping here, I think you get the point and I’m too sleepy to continue this off topic rant about oral health.
TL;DR
Fluoride toothpaste is good for your enamel, but consuming it e.g. fluoridated water = bad. Always floss. Do the research or visit your library for more concise info.
