Uncheck all your DLCs, let steam download the update and voila PLAY GAME is available

Got this problem too, unchecking DLCs didnā€™t fix anything. I checked the DLC again so it would patch itself back. But then after that it says it failed to download the patch. Try this, and if it works it just means I have a connection problem

Same here. I didnā€™t have any problem pre-patch. I read somewhere it was due to 4G internet connection.

Any update on the situation ? DLC uncheck dont work. Integrety check dont work. Remove and re-install from steam backup dont work.

I just got it working. I bought the new DLC and then saw the little ā€œUpdateā€ before the laucher asked me to relaunch the game.

EDIT: It was after that happened that I started having this issue. My fix below:

It turns out my Anti-Virus started blocking the launcher, and I was able to fix that by changing the permissions on my AV. Hope this helps!

Thank you!! This worked for me. Now I just need to figure out how to make Norton always ignore ToS so I donā€™t have to disable it lolā€¦

Helped my friend fix this problem

Try this:

  1. Right click your Internet Access in lower right toolbar and Open Network and Sharing Center
  2. Click ā€œChange Adapter Settingsā€ in upper right corner
  3. Right click your main internet connection, mine is ā€œWireless Network Connectionā€, yours is probably ā€œLocal Area Connectionā€
  4. Find ā€œInternet Protocol Version 4/ IPv4ā€ and click Properties
  5. Tick ā€œUse the following DNS servers:ā€
  6. Input: Preferred DNS server: 8 . 8 . 8 . 8 and Alternate DNS server: 8 . 8 . 4 . 4
  7. Ok everything.
  8. Try to patch again and see if it works.

I reinstalled Steam, tried without the router, and a few other things.but nothing worked, except for this :slight_smile:
Really appreciate it man.

However, im back to the problem if i remove the DNS again.
Does that mean ill have to keep using a DNS all of sudden to be able to play? o.Ć²?

Iā€™ve been fine without one before, its been blanked, will this have any sort of consequences regarding my provider? Network settings aint my thing :stuck_out_tongue:

Google DNS is better anyway, why change?
