i suspect this is something people may have used to grind to the top, by using unpopulated maps with high non agro spawn and basically turning them into dungeons

So much for “leveling secrets” that should actually have been reported.
Why it is tagged as EXPLOIT? This game should be played with active aggro.
why are you posting on a 5 month old thread?
even now monsters are mostly non aggro in standard maps. why?
to prevent easy Z key botting, that is weighing down the attack button and going afk while monsters move towards you and you auto kill them.
btw this still works. go ahead and become a legitimate botter, its a pretty simple “exploit” if i do say so myself.

Try Z key botting with wizard. Then tell me how you feel.

Well, at this moment it is not possible to aggro more than 5 mobs at once. Other mobs stop moving and will not attack you.

the max aggro rate is above 5.
Max aggro on FIELD is 5. Only swordsman with Swashbuckling can aggro more. If you hit 6+ mobs with basic attack and run away, only 5 of them will follow you.
Tested with auto aggro and without, and result is always same.
you sure your not smoking anything? i can aggro 10-15 monsters in field maps.
