For knockback, not many 100% options, you need to rely on evasion or manually block. A Gazing Golem card can also work because it provides % chance to autocast pain barrier when hit, but itâs based on card amount, not card lv.
Pain Barrier Lv 5 is enough to pull a whole rotation on bosses:
Umbo Thrust, High Kick, Slithering, Headbutt, Buttlerfly x2, Headbutt, Scuttum x3, ShieldShoving x2, ShieldBash x2, Shooting star x2.
You can switch around the rotation, maybe you want to use shield push earlier to have it available for a second rotation or you may want to use Headbutt at certain times with bosses that move around to much and you need them to stay in place.
After that youâre down to manual blocking and evasion. I normally pull high guard and start using umbo and rim blow, recast Umbo Thrust and start a unsafe rotation with my spare skills (high kick should be ready again for these spare skills). When Umbo Thrust is ready again, I can start another safe rotation.
Idk if Nuaele has been reworked or redesigned. But it gives % MDEF so 10* = 10% of your total MDEF which is a huge help and it stacks everytime you increase your MDEF which means 1,000 MDEF + substats of some items & gems -/+ = 1,200-1,300 / 100 = 120/130 MDEF. This card is quite expensive now due to IMCâs decision to make it a WB drop and remove it from the quest drop on Demon Prison 1 questline.
I hope IMC removes this stupid ranking drop system on World Boss to prevent top-kek players and guilds in exploiting it and making the economy worst.

Once I found Ellaganos with my retired Fencer. Helped kill it and got nothing.
This game values damage too much.
Should have a shiny medal for damage mitigation, debuff time and healing done.
CBT and early OBT have no ranking system for WB. everybody who participated in which they damage the boss got their cube. Simple and fun and not manipulative and exploitable.
What do you guys think about a sword3-murm build?
like maybe: Sw3-pelt1-rode3-murm ? just for the uptime of pain barrier :s
I think it would be useful in tanking if u dont get knocked around too much :S
also i see some suggestion here to go for hoplite instead of pelt c2 in a rode3-shinobi-murm build;
i mean if we go hoplite, weâre kinda locked into spear to use finestra and synchro thrusting⌠and I see that current end-game weapon for murmillo a one-handed sword is way better than one-handed spear⌠:S
I was thinking, instead of hoplite, why dont we go for highlander? C1 skills are not weapon locked (except crossguard which we wont take anyway) and at least we have more strike damage(catar stroke) and int debuff from crown :x
rank 3 options for a shinobi-murm build is really bad like everything is mehâŚ(provided at C2 you take 1 circle of peltasta)

Well, Sw3 is a trade of Armor Break, Butterfly and +230% dmg on Umbo and Rim Blow for higher Pain Barrier uptime and restrain. You should be able to pull 2 or 3 safe rotations. Also gotta point out that Concentrate bonus gets multiplied by the Rodel/Murm Debuffs, so thatâs some extra dmg if you focus on this. Might as well trade pelt1 for highlanger, but youâll loose all the tank attributes,
For shinobi, people suggest hoplite because Synchro Thrust can be copied by the clones, murmillo has an attribute to increase itâs damage, it has higher damage if you counter with it and it scales with shield defense.
You could switch to highlander, but I think that the skill that gets copied by the clones is slash type, but Catar Stroke is nice to have for when clones arenât up I guess.

whats a good spear to get for murmillo?
and also how good is the high guard+umbo blow+rim blow combo? since clones can copy those and murmillo boost those skills âŚ
I mainly use Pelt3, Rode3, Murm, so I really donât know much about 1h spears. I guess Brandish and Maga Spear are still better than most 220 spears. 270 and up might as well stick to just one, Wingshard spear seems the better one with 3 gem slots and nice stats but those item requirements are crazy.
About High Guard specialty attrs on clones, I think I heard that they canât copy it, but you would need to confirm. What I do know is that the clones will snapshot the Glass Mole card effect so it doesnât matter much that it last 4 or 6 seconds as long you drink a sp potion before the clone casting ends.

Pelt3>Rod3 is a durable tank burst DPS class in my opinion with itâs multi-hit skills on C1 & C3, and the debuffs are great, good for parties and for solo.

How does this build do in Pvp and gvg?
Well in my opinion itâs a good build for party play. The main issues you are going to find are the low lv Pain Barrier, that it isnât cheap attributes wise and AoE ratio is lacking. You need to stack AoE ratio gear for this one to work better on PVE, I even used the five Hammer before the gem buffs because hitting +3 mobs was better than just adding attack.
For PVP well, you can stun lock someone to dead but someone else is going to interrupt you most of the time. The CC skills are good but theyâre hard to land and the desync doesnât help. Even Shield Lob is viable for TBL nowadays with the murmillo attrs. Over all you get a lot of tools for PVP but a close range CC will get surpassed most of the time by the good old kino or anything more mobile.
thats one thing i hate about the targeting system in this game⌠everything is âskillshotâ where people can jump to evade (except archers and mages autoattack) ⌠its really hard to land a hit on those hopping bunny runners lol (tbh i wish they just remove jumping from the game i dont think its a healthy mechanic and it doesnt really add anything)
but hmmm choices! its either pel3 or pelt2-shinobi right now thats up for debate⌠i mean technically shinobi shud help u land some hits right? cos u got a stealth and a snare :x and maybe the clones help a bit for AoE
I have made a decision and I will probably go pelt3-rode3 ; i feel like umbo thrust armor break is going to be quite significant someday (if it isnât already)âŚ
The clones will help with AoE on PVE, you should be able to take advantage of Swash taunting when the clones are up.
About Armor break, it is a safe bet, if they release mobs with higher def or decide to change def to a % based reduction, def = 0 will always be handy for party and solo play. On the PVP side, even if someone goes around wearing over upgraded 315 gears, Umbo Thrust will remove all def provided by their gear.
And lastly, if youâre set on pelt3-rode3 it can start to be hard to deal dmg when the elite mobs start appearing. You can try to go pelt2-rode3-pelt3 instead to get both rode debuffs as fast a possible. Also a 5 hammer with red gems should help a lot nowadays, but thatâs true for every non archer build. But in case you want pelt3 first, upgrading butterfly attribute should be your first priority.

which level of attributes should I get to as priority (without breaking the bank)? I heard that the general consesus is to get 50% first
also is umbo blow and rim blow worht it with the high guard attributes thingy? I was thinking of dropping rim all together cos i will probably use umbo for stun but not much for rimâŚ

Lv50 is ok, I have most of my skills on that Lv, might be a bit high on silver for c3 skills.
Umbo and Rim Blow are ok before getting murmillo and for fillers on bosses after that. With the High Guard attribute they get a +230% dmg added (it says 330% but 100% of that is your normal dmg), they scale better the more atk you get.
You might think that maybe sacrificing Swash to maximize umbo and rim blow might be an option but maxing taunting is better on my opinion.
The difference between lv6 and lv 15 Umbo blow after all de debuffs and high guard is 7308 dmg.
It might seem like a respectable amount but you end getting like 2000 atk from gear alone (hats, 315 weapon, lv4 trascend) plus 1260 dmg from lv6 umbo blow and getting through all the calculations you stll end with some respectable filler dmg (18908?), also take into consideration that you can only fit like 4-6 uses of umbo and rim while high guard is up and youâll end using these as filler after you get murmillo, so no debuffs most of the time, just the +230% bonus (10758?).
Shield Push lv1 is good for PVP, it has unbalance effect for 10 seconds( silence and random chance of knockdown per hit while unbalanced). If I recall you also could knockdown objects (statues, etc) if the unbalance debuffs sticks to them but dunno if still works.
Shield Charge is also good on lv1 for PVP because it can push people outside safety wall and it also can push Frost Pillars around.

I will just get umbo and rim to 6 for combo with high guard for levelling first I guess.
Then maybe later if I see that I dont use them for damage that much, i will just reset and put all points into guardian(?) for the def buff

are we forgetting that High Guard reduces your attack by 50%? yes it does increase your umblo blow and rim blow but reduces other skillâs damages after so i guess youd be turning off the skill often?
