EXP Leech/Slave - Parties without level range

Since iCBT i was wondering if parties had any kind of level range to share EXP from player X or Y and the thing is… there’s no limit. I’ve experienced a quite unpleasant case today where a lvl 232 Warlock was power leveling a party 7x~8x (and a lvl 44 archer too) at Royal Mausoleum Workers Lodge.

(i won’t censor any names because technically there’s no infration)

I won’t get to the “using the event to level” subject here because i don’t think it’s a problem to have a party using it to level (it is when you deny/steal it from someone regardless of the party level), the point is “should an underlevel character be able to rank up without any efford?”.

ToS isn’t a game “like that one” where any build path makes your character completely useless to solo and/or partyto the point that you must be powerleveled (hell, even craft classes can be somehow usefull due the class system and their late ranks), you also get a lot of ways to level with quests, dungeons and missions.

I know that limiting party levels would make harder to play with friends but that’s a matter of balance, after all you should play the game to progress.

nothing wrong with helping friends level up, i highly doubt that theyll just help people out there when they get literally nothing from that they dont drop recipes, silver.

you could just grind the normal way instead of standing there theyll eventually have to leave the place anyway

i don’t see anything wrong here either.
i had a high level friend help me through some grinding, it’s nice to have high level friend helping you out. They won’t be getting much exp after they hit the maximum level to gain experience in that area.

The problem isn’t the map/area/place, the thing is that letting that option available as that can mess up with the progression flow. I’ve had some bad experiences before (at another game) when i tried find a party to grind but i wasn’t able because every single player at the my range was getting leech instead of doing the actual thing.

I don’t see a problem with someone helping a friend, but i can’t say that doing all the work for someone is helping them. Right now this is only (at least i belive that is) a single group of friends trying to rush some EXP however we can’t be sure how things will go on, at a minimal state (that is highly improbable) it can be the only case of leeching in the whole game, at the maximum state it can lead to a game where all players have leech from high level characters and any player that doesn’t have contacts will have a bad time because it can’t compete with other players that weren’t suppose to be there.

Tried this with friends…was not very effective. We made so much more progress with questing + haste. I guess it would be nifty if kill counts were shared, as it is now I can’t even help them with wings of vibora cards.

I don’t see a problem. Gives me a reason to buy more tokens (To give to others) to afk party :stuck_out_tongue:

Just found this out a few days ago accidentally while grinding for Mithril in Tenet Chapel when a lower-level Guildie came by and partied me. While killing the mobs, she said she was getting EXP fast, so I brought out my summons and ran through the whole map killing things while she trailed behind me. She went up 8 levels in around an hour.

They really need to add a level-limit for this, like a monster killed by someone who’s 50 levels higher than you will give you no EXP.

Huh?
I tried helping my friend before (like 2 or 3 weeks ago) I were 16x while he was 5x, We killed some 8x mobs but he was getting 0,1%.
