Soooo, i finally found out why people tend to cry over the grind in TOS.
Here’s an example:
I’m level 100.
Grinding in an Area where i overkill mobs at 220% overkill.
Grinding in an Area where mobs are 20+ levels higher then me, sometimes overkilling 110~130% (rarely).
Even with an higher kill/minute rate on the infamous red named mobs.
The lower level mobs give more exp/minute … with less kills.
Why?
Orange Dandle: 400 base exp, 270 job exp. *2,2= 880 base exp, 594 job exp.
Kepari: 530 base exp, 640 job exp.
Both have nearly the same hp. But duo the buff they get from higher level then me.
I’m getting more exp from dandles…
Doing more dps to them too… And i’m not even on the max crit atk i can have yet.
The problem is, that people grind in areas to close to their level …
Higher leveld mobs don’t give that much more exp, even more so when they’re buffed from red name…
Old ro awarded you if you could high level mobs.
TOS is punching you in the face xD.
For me, i will stop playing till they fix market and shout.
I farmed a bunch of levels and quested everything that worked for me. I’m now at mage tower, wwhere i would love a party ^^.
Ohh and yeah. I’m archer.
So for swordys that overkill even better, this is even more true.
Ah and yes, lastly.
The game is set so, that time needed to advance a level. Is roughly the same after the tuturial area, when you grind.
For me that is about 20 minutes per level. Sadly it’s base level … job level takes about 5 to 10 times as long.
