Exp card and normal grinding needs balance ..Also quest quality

The exp card are too effective compared to normal grinding. The exp rate are low when u are higher lvl… the best places are crowded… lack of channels and No higher exp reward from higher level monster… I reached 100 level priest with Quest exp rewards… Only grinded 1-2 lvl when I was 85lvl because some quest needed higher level to access…

The quest are so damn repetitive with just small different twist… There is not excited feeling when u go for next areas because you are gonna face same quest over and over again…

I’m pretty sure the EXP cards are supposed to be more effective than normal grinding since they’re in limited quantity. You can grind forever but you can’t quest forever.

Better quest variety would be nice though.

Totally agree on that balance part. On my first character I just went normally through maps, did all the quests, used the exp cards immediatly like most people would do. I noticed that my level and the map level difference increased over time, but because I still could progress without a problem I didn’t care much. Then I reached ~120 and I was completely out of quests. The next map would be level 137. So I would have to gind 7 levels. The exp wall you suddenly hit is insane. Even worse in higher levels what I’ve heared from people. I grinded to 125 and it took me forever. Considering this is pretty much still early in the game.
I’m rolling a new char now. I try to stay bit longer in each map and gind a little and only take exp scrolls to get me ~1 level below the next map the get the most value. This is totally not intuitive, but I’ll see how this goes.

I don’t really mind the quests being more or less the same. I like the small storys behind some quests. But that’s all preference.

http://www.tosbase.com/database/quests/?page=27 You have then missed a lot of quest…

I can assure you that I didn’t

Hmm i kinda agree pn the reptitiveness but not on the whole "too much xp"deal.

Hopefully we get some more unique sidequests or something, maybe a bit more puzzly and crafty.

So have u done all of those quest?? Even the next page??

If I said that I did all quest, then I did all quests. All the quest till 133, which is Apsimesti Crossroads

I think you should just get more exp from grinding but not less from the cards personally. I also would like to see the repeatable quests made daily… So you can do them 5times/day. Grinding really shouldn’t be the only option… I am happy to see it as an equal or slightly better option to questing though…

I much prefer doing the quests then sitting in one spot killing the same mobs over and over… You can do that with or with out the current quests anyway if you want nothing is preventing you from grinding… Quests aren’t mandatory - grinding is eventually… I like to feel like I am doing something some kinda progression… It keeps me interested.

Also I think this game actually does a decent job with quest variety, some of the later sub quests do things I’ve not done with MMO quests before… or twists on the usual kill x mobs… Which is nice. an as said, this game has some decent little stories actually worth reading unlike most mmos…

I was hoping for once this would be an MMO that didn’t fall in to the grind for 3 days to reach the next quest hub that only gives you 75% of a level at best worth of quests then grind 3 more days or more. But If there is a 7 level wall at 120 then I hate to see it further down… I feel like 2 levels of grinding should be max personally…

Well excessive grinding is one way to ruin an otherwise perfectly good game I guess… For me anyway… To much grinding not enough quests/progression just makes it to boring to continue after awhile… Which is honestly the issue I always have with MMOs… They just turn in to kill mobs till your sick of the game and move on…

Let’s see how things go with the party quests they will add during the maint.

nooooo, daily quest are one of the reason i stoped playing mmorpg. those are alway the same & make me feel bored. i rather grinding in a random map than having to do quest everyday to follow the top 25% …i hate to have an obligation of playing everyday… & finaly i like to do marathon i mean a lot in one days or a weeking & after that taking one or 2 days off … daily quest kill the causual player … . sorry

Agree. Say no to daily quests because it is an unnecessary shackle and creates a sense of loss if you miss a day of the game.

What I would like see is the scaling up of exp that mobs provide on higher level. As it is right now, high level mobs are giving similar amount of Exp with low level mobs except that high level mobs hit harder with more HP.

I think daily quests are a good thing to be honest.

[/quote] They could always add rest experience bonus for those that miss a day of the game…

The large chunks of quests available IMO is good for the early stages, you don’t really have much going for you other than 1 or 2 skills and auto attack so grinding is a bit more tedious compared to say when you reach C2 priest with sacrament. You reached 100 just by questing? well good for you cause there’s alot more levels to go.

So if you miss a day of grinding you didn’t lose any exp but if you miss a day of dailies suddenly its an unbearable loss? I don’t see your logic. Also you don’t have to do dailies… you can ignore there existence and grind away and never do any quests except the main one.

You won’t be keeping up with people who don’t sleep if you sleep regardless idk why you worry about that…

Having daily quests just gives something to break up the eventual lul in actual progression… If they make the game to grindy people will stop when they get bored of it - if its to much effort - there are other games worth playing to. I don’t think you need to remove all grinding just it needs to not be excessive… With enough content to keep the ball rolling (which doesn’t need to be daily quests, they could add other more fun means to get exp thats not flat grinding or questing idk what that would be though… Mini games - something to do with pvp…idk)… but enough grinding to not make it to quick/effortless…

I am interested in how party quests work, but I don’t usually want to play in a party so Idk if that will be a good thing or not. Will hopefully be able to try it later…

This game isn’t going to break the normal trend like Guild Wars 2 did. LOL. I wouldnt have that great expectations for this game. It’s only a little different to your Diablo 3 with the MMO component.

it’s just something different, not overly unique or new for a 2016 release.
