Events for iToS

Now that we’ve gone through Early Access, have opened up the servers to f2p, then closed it to new accounts, implemented all the restrictions necessary and re-opened the servers to new players, it’s time we welcome new players and old with events.

kToS is in a never ending cycle of various fun and rewarding events. Events do wonders for games like this. It’s almost always the primary reason for many people to play games like Dungeon Fighter Online, one of the most globally popular/profitable F2P MMO’s out there.

So IMC, will we be getting events in the near future, preferrably next week?

Who will have time for that? KR ToS is under Nexon and i am sure they have a team only for events.

I preffer 100x more they fixing the stuff they should had fixed, stop breaking the game even more (i am looking at the so called optimization that gone down the drain with the last patches), then, we can think of events or w/e would be nice to have.

Recently GM Durian was on Klap server saying he was pushing for a Talk Like a Pirate event. So it seems they already have some stuff in the works.

I 100% want whatever event it would take to get that ribbon armband and some of the other cute stuff they got. I still don’t understand why we haven’t gotten the cbt titles/armband either for the cbt.

I missed all those fun kTOS Event and free stuff. Those free mithril ores, glad band and sissel from the letter collecting event @___@

I prefer fixing too, but that does not mean that IMC should not have a team for events.

We can’t just be okay with not having basic events, it’s a released game (2nd time), it didn’t even have CBT events like 99% of all other MMO’s out there.

We’re not getting content any time soon. They deemed it ready for new players to hop in. They can literally just recycle a kToS event they’ve already created.

That is no excuse.

I am not saying hey shouldn’t have but, with the actual state of the game, we will have more frustration, at least most of us, due to client freezing/crash and low FPS due to bad optimization.

Well, i wouldn’t doubt they started doing some events to try take our attentions a bit out of what i said or other issues.

Optimization doesn’t happen in a month sadly, and takes quite a lot of time for what they have to do.

But that is no excuse to halt literally everything else.

Yeah, but you can expect a lot of complains about it too lol.

I myself will keep away from events, at least until i am certain my client wont freeze because there are 50+ players around me.

How about an event where all the GM go and clean out the bots?

Hunt the bots event? mmhmmm

If the gm allow us to use oracle monster change skils during that eventor some boss summon skill ii dunt mind XD

I think it’s pre unexcusable that they gave nothing to beta testers and founders. At least a title… not like title gives anything…

that’s the biggest different from Kr server and Inter server
In KR it’s event every week that keep people have to play the game for event 's benefit
and they even gives free cash, cash item at events

in inter server there are almost nothing to keep people with the game
it’s like i feel bored so i just quit, there 's nothing to hold me back

I think your assuming an event is when players have to gather in a certain area to do something.

That is not the case for most of the kToS events, and certainly does not need to be the case for iToS.

They literally have an event where you get rewards for time logged in, that is the simplest event they could port over.

Ah that is something Nexon probably came up with, i don’t like this kind of events, if you can call it that, and yes, a game event is more fun when there is someone from the staff doing it.

As an example, an old game called Redstone Online (it is on Steam, and i know i am referring this game too much in some of my posts lol) GMs at least 2 times per day would do events like hide-and-seek (giving small hints so others could go find them), kill the monsters inside the city and other similar things and the rewards was premium items from CS, unfortunately that game is heavily dependent on CS (bad management) and is basically dead today.

I don’t see why iToS couldn’t do that tbh, well not in the actual state as i stated above.

As other kinds of events, the ones like happen on GW2 would be fun too, we got WBs for now, but other kind of stuff would be neat.

As i said on other thread, this game’s potential is not being explored correctly.

That’s an example of the simplest of events.

There are intricate ones such as the town defense event, but my point is there are events that do not require everyone to gather around and witness the poor optimization, and there is absolutely no reason to not do such events.

psh that event was a few days ago, did u miss it
?

As i said, i am not against events, i am just saying that it will be frustrating for some, in the case of player gathering events, as you said an example from kToS, this town defense probably spawn lots of mobs inside the town or in the areas around it, which would attract lots of players for it, i can see lots of players getting dced because of crashes or just in a stand still state because of 0.x fps.

I am not the only one with these kinds of issues, it is isolate cases? If you want call it that so be it, but there are a bunch out there with this, i myself suffer from that, i never was able to do Dullahan because of these issues, and by no means my laptop is a crap one, its not the best, but i can run heavier games than ToS at 60fps in high or max settings no problem and without crashes or stutter.

And as my last complement to the issue at hand, frustrated players = more complains and tickets = more work load for staff.

We are in a different position from KR ToS, and in a bad one at it.
