Event-like World Boss Idea 🌱

heyo i got an idea for World Boss maybe anyone interested? suggestions and discussions are very welcome!

Problems:

  1. World Boss (WB) is hogged by top & hardcore players.
  2. WB spots very crowded, the fight doesn’t even last a minute.
  3. WB can’t be endgame content as of now, not enough challenge maybe (?)
  4. WB feels like a repetitive chore

Proposed idea:
Make WBs as worldwide hourly events.

How it works:

  1. Add NPC to announce/check WB timer. The concept is something along the line “A demonic presence is appearing in Roxona building!! All Saviors are to work together to suppress it”.
  2. WB spawns in random X hours, and timer can only be checked 30mins (?) before spawn so no one can hog.
  3. Make guild-exclusive raid channels. Harder boss, better drops, but compete with other guilds.
  4. There can be multiple WBs at the same time (different location). Keep (reduce) the no-cube debuff after killing WB to prevent WB hopping.
  5. Randomize WB level to allow players enjoy it from mid-game (level is announced in NPC). High level boss can appear in lower level area too.
  6. Cubes can drop any items from other WB, maybe with lower chance. Drops scale with level too. This will spread WB hunters.
  7. Give booby cubes (low chances, with mats, talts, etc. mixed in). Top players get MVP cubes. It’s about how players are treated.

X) Dynamic AI (e.g. berserk on 50% hp), more teamwork (e.g. fight while holding off wave of mobs), micro-events in battle (e.g. invulnerable until destroy something), difficulty auto balance (e.g. hp scales with channel population), etc. that will improve the fight itself.
