Evacuate Orsha?

He heard from his friends there was a server transfer about to happen, and he did not go to the game’s website to check out that info.

This isnt an IMC issue, this is apathy plain and simple. He is attempting to frame this as an IMC issue, then saying they are redirecting it as a “player” community issue.

Like Ive said. ONLY support can help him, if help at all.

Mate, there’s no IMC Engine, a server is a server and it works like any other server. It’s that simple.

Great stuff mate. Finally someone thinking as a paying customer. If they don;t keep their promise I will definitely quit. There are too many games out there for me to stress with shitty companies.

Guilherme, dispite of why you cancelled your ticket thats on you. I am just saying that IMC have no reason to transfer anyone that applied for the transfer after the time limit.

I am stuck in Orsha too, i wanted the transfer too, but in my case i didnt lost the time limit. I applied for the transfer and my ticket dissapear, i saw several players with the same issue. In this case its IMC fault and they should transfer those people.

Maybe a good solution for everyone coulde be if IMC make another massive transfer one month after the f2p release. Than they could even see if orsha and klaipeda should merge as well

before they copy a file or a set of data, they have to shut down server so everything would stop and no bug would occur if they do copy paste

you want the server to jack up while they copy and paste your data?

live server cant be interrupted by those things except for gm tools that bans or make in-game announcement and are backup by a fixed set of time like every 30 mins or 1 hour

a GM tool is different from copy pasting data in a server in case you question what is a gm tool.

gm tools refer to things that are given to people with authority to give an item/prize take away item/prize block people who abuse and make in-game announcement and also insert missing cash points (rare cases on MMO but common in mobile games)

while the one you are referring to is something that should be done on the server itself so interrupting it with a copy paste would slow everything down and disturb thousands of players in-game just for 1 data transfer.

lets put it like this and how would they need 24 hours to do it
normal maintenance would be like 5-8 hrs depending on the company

the transfer:
server shuts down first ofc
data that needs to be copied are based on the tickets that are sent and are also recorded by the customer service into a spreadsheet and sent to the developers or the one who handles the server to do the copy pasting

they need to find each player one by one depending also on the type of tools they use and possibly need to alter their AccountID to a new one since the original AccountID is already taken so they either manually edit and paste it on the last AccountID on that server. there are also junk files that should be deleted like friend list or guild that is on the previous server before they transfer so they have to remove it first before making any edit on the transfer. like what i said on the first part, they cant do the copy paste while the server are online because there are new players coming and making a new team so its another entry in AccountID and if they fail to make a unique AccountID then the server will get an error. since making a new team adds a unique AccountID they do the copy pasting by typing every information you have on the previous server one by one on the new server since i think it would make an error on the computation on AccountID unless they edit the computation

there are so many errors that would show up if you do it on a live server so thats what i can tell you for now since i can put like 200~300+ more words about those things based on what i understand on server handling and programming and databases since i am an IT (just an average not a smart guy that knows everything)

after the transfer it is possible that they are testing it on another server to see if there are any bugs that occured after doing the transfer (like what happened on SEA where you dc after x amount of time inside the dungeon that wasn’t there before the transfer)

lets go back to the unfair part that you are saying.

they are saying it is unfair because most or all people who wants to be transferred didn’t use the market in a week or so (to be safe) so they can avail for the free 1 time transfer. if you didn’t bother using 10 mins of your whole life just reading the news in ToS because its been there for like 2-3 weeks. so if you didn’t bother reading it then its your fault actually.

2-3 weeks of preparation is actually long to be fair and if you missed it then no transfer for you until they announce another one in the future (2-3 months later i think)

this is also the same with discount promos. you cant use the discount after the promo ends and if they allow you it’ll be unfair for those who bought it during the promo. you just have to wait for the next promo if you want to participate. its not worth your time at first but after you knew about it you come and it is already over so pretty much again, your fault for not taking the time

(Thais, Thiago, Theofilo?), well, the matter is the burocracy to make a transfer. By the way, is not unfair to anyone make something like this.

I problably be unfair be doing this type of stuff behind the curtain. If I was trying to difame IMC or something I be totally with you. But no, they are normal people like us, let’s find the way of comprehension.

I’m trying to bring a solution to, at least, two question:

  • Proof that people don’t thinks unfarity about transfers, cause them confuse it with maintanence.
  • Make a fair way to do transfers, like a transfering queue, to take a boat in any break they like to.

Still senseless, they way they write is too sugestive. But never was a rule or a contract.
The way we can’t read looks like ‘we prefer to do that way, cause is easier, nor bug-proof, nor anything, just is easier for us.’
Makes sense, if you try to transfer data in a computer with a lots of programs open, it will take so long, than with none other programs opened.

In the day before transfer I was back, online, and there was no announce, no avaliability of making a ticket, etc.

I bet I’m clear about: Company says won’t transfer to not malefit other players. And players say to me talk to the company privately.

You did just described how it’s even possible.

Adding things like:

  • I send my own AccID (can be acessed on in a doc in game folder).
  • I delete my own friendlist or guild, empty storage, market, etc.
    And at last:
  • Take a boat on a maintanence to do it.

By been a IT, you could easily think in a solution regardless the problem, logic people do it normally.


About the unfair part.
I merely chat with players I met. There was never a surety of anything, just rumors.
One day they said Level Up!Games (same company that hosted Ragnarok on Brasil) would host ToS too. After they say would be a server in São Paulo, after they said would be in one week, then a mounth, then in July.

I was waiting for in-game yellow letters in capslock:

We’re announcing the transfer for server [SA] Silute are now on.

But that never happen. Differ from [SEA] or [EU], that got every hour in time of peak.

Sorry. I don’t know anything about discount promos… It’s not the first time someone say it here. I missed that issue.

Anyway, so you’re asking to IMC being professional, because they’re offering a service, but player can’t be professional (with the schedule and all)?, sounds not good imo, this could be a game, but there are some “responsibility” anyway, is not the time that takes make one thing or another, is about professionalism.

Comparing with another games… can’t be an argument, if you think a game is better (or good) because offers some feature, go to play that game, this one is different, the server will not be empty because not all ppl wants to tranfer, and some of us doesn’t care about transfer, and I’m pretty sure “we” are the most.

And I’m not being troll or something, for example I hate shooters because I find that games linear, and actually I see all as the same, but I don’t go to blame Call of Duty developers because they’re offering a game that is not good for me, I’m just not consuming their thing, and I have no problem at all, that’s my point

Well, ‘they will foward your request to the proper department for a further review about another server transfer’. But they wont tell me when: ‘though we likely not be able to advise you regarding the outcome of this review’.
It’s don’t feel safe by those words above, but they where nice worried by me: ‘rest assured it will receive the proper attention’.

And finally: ‘We also advise you to keep an eye on our official website for any News and Updates that may help you regarding your issue. Thak you.’
