[EU] Fedimian. Creating an english speaking guild

Server: Fedimian [Europe]
Language: English

Why create a guild instead of joining one

From the bits and pieces of informations I managed to find on the subject so far, the guild system resembles the one from Ragnarok, namely there will be a maximum ammount of players (Teams I hope) in each guild, with ways to increase the number.
The limited ammount of slots per guild will make it harder to join just to check if we would fit in and I usually don’t guild-hop, usually I stick with one guild for few weeks before I finally decide I don’t belong there. This combined with other factors means that I would have to endure playing alone for who knows how many weeks, before I can finally find a group where I belong. I played for 3 days now and I already miss having someone to chat to, so taking initiative is more a necessity than an option.
Also, in the coming weeks (even months sadly) I will have enough time to spare into this project.
I am not a power-hungry attention-seeking guy who just wants to see other people tagged by the clever guild name he came up with.

What type of guild

Socialization above enything else. Meeting other human beings and interacting with them is the reason why many of us play online games, I know I do, and I know I want to play with people who agrees with me on this point. Given that there is little to no info on pvp right now (or I need one more rank in my googling skill to find something reliable) I really cannot say what our end-game is going to be, which is why I would like to have people who are just enjoying the ride for now.

Some info about me

I am in my early 30s, currently unemplyed because of health issues (which is why I have the extra free time I mentioned before). I have been playing MMOs for more than 10 years, and always avoided the hardcore crowd when I could, I enjoy games better when they don’t become a second-job (for example, during my time in WoW I was happy to finish normal raid content -the one called heroic now- before the next tier would come out).
In the past I have been officer/leader in some guilds in games like Warhammer, EvE, WoW, Ragnarok. I hate anime and anime-style graphics and I am playing ToS despite that.

What kind of players should be interested in this

As I mentioned before, socialization is key. It is the difference between a painful grind and a memorable journey (just my opinion of course, someone else will say that the difference is an efficient build), therefore I am looking for players who, like me, can’t take the lack of chat channels or early guilds anymore. People who wants to chat a bit while exploring the game.
While I do think that an awfully inefficient build makes a player a burden on the rest of the group, I don’t belive in “flavour of the month” builds, so I would like to find players who don’t mind playing with guildmates who picked one wrong circle or one wrong skill; personally I prefer to play someone with a not-so-perfect build (aka he/she messed it up but might fix it later on) who is a nice person, to hours of grinding with a ruthlessly efficient jerk who only speaks with memes and words with a “z” at the end.
I am looking for players above the age of 20, while I have nothing aganst teenagers, there is no point to deny that it is easier for people to get along if the age differnce is not too big.

The road map

Use of a third-party application/site to give us a temporary chat system. It’s already set, it’s free, can be used with a browser and it’s main function right now is to overcome the lack of chat channels in-game

Deciding the guild’s name. How this will happen I’m not sure yet, I know I want to make it democratic but I also know that if everyone has a say in it, there is no way to find a compromise.

Nominating officers. This part might be the more time consuming, because I think that a good guild is made by having a good inner circle, players who understand that being an officer is a responsability, not a priviledge, and I might have to get to know each member well enough before committing.

Creating the actual guild in game. No Eta on this, I don’t know how long it will take me to reach rank 7 and become a Mighty Templar! (just kidding of course, I know that becoming a templar will effectively waste my rank 7 class and make me more a burden than anything else)

Don’t join if:

You came up with an awesome name for a guild but can’t be arsed to waste a rank 7 subclass for a templar, and want to use my templar to make your dreams come true

For you, progression is more important than socialization

You consider yourself a pro/hardcore. Nothing wrong with it, but you would not fit in.

You like to use insults when talking to strangers and don’t care if they don’t like it. (I too use words like “female dog” or “female genitalia” to address some friends of mine, but I do it just with those who I know like it)

You are a dog person. We only want cat people.

The previous piont was a joke, I though 4 points weren’t enough so I put there a fifth to make it look like there are more restrictions, and this, the sixth, to rectify that; which makes it look that there are even more restriction and that the guild will have very high standards, which is not the case since I will be part of it.

TL,DR

If this was too long to read for you, you should move along.

Sounds great, i don’t know if you are low level enough for us to tag along but you sound like a person who’d be great to group up with.

I am currently level 97. I did take a break from rushing exp in favor of exploring old maps for collections and other goodies (I just found a chest with a chat emote in it for instance!)

The whole point of getting a shared chat before waiting for a guild to be created would also be to be able to talk with people of different levels, who might be doing other activities.

Throw me a whisper in game, same name as my forum name.

I’m defiantly interested.

I loved the old school MMO’s like RO but with the prevalence of databases and tools out there I don’t think I’ve spoken with anyone yet in game outside of one party where I was pretty much talking to them out of desperation the way you might talk to a cat.

Also I’m a cat person, over 20 and a fan of “quirky” builds. Currently working on a Squire and Trapper style Rogue. I don’t think I’ve actually seen another sapper yet. I dislike the “this is the way you must play” builds especially in a game with such flexibility and freedom.

Feel free to send me a message my Team name is Ralliare

I am all in!

I think that the socialization part is for me, the most important aspect.
There is a reason why we all want to play online with eachother right?

I am Steven from Holland, 24 years old. I’ve always been a fan of Ragnarok Online. I have a lvl 73 Barbarian, exploring the game and loving it!

ohh, and i am a cat person!

My team name is: Trinax , il whisper you in game

I’m interested in this. I’m currently playing on Klaipeda because i joined the game as soon as i could, so unfortunately i’ve used my Founder’s Pack on Klaipeda… But i’m taking the switch to Fedimian as soon as it’s available.

The whole reason i started looking through the guild section was to find something like this, pretty much everything you typed out speaks to me. I mostly miss running around the game seeing a guild chat full with rambling funny people having a laugh and a dependable guild that i can help and that will help me as well all while goofing around.

For the personal bit:
I’m 21, almost 22, i’m from the Netherlands and i love cats, my bed and cooking. When i choose a guild i’d like to join i usually stick by it to the end even if it starts dying or whatever because i really hate guild hopping.

I have been hyped for Tree of Savior since i heard about it and now that i can play it despites the issues i’m loving every second of it. As for Ragnarok, i’ve played it and liked it a lot, but never could get very far in-game because i had no one to play with and no people to talk to.

Edit: I have multiple characters all around the level 50 range, i haven’t decided which one to go all the way with yet but i’m leaning towards Corsair or Monk… or both.

Hello, can I join you? Because currently I’m playing alone, so I need socialization or else I’ll be boring dead for sure.

Cheers!

Plenty of room. I will send you a private message with details to join discord for now.

Hey there, I have also been looking for groups, the name is Wangster, team name: CandyCrusher lv123 atm

i’l have some time to play tomorrow, looking forward talking to you.
Are you already a rack 7? :open_mouth:

This made weird things to my imagination for a second :grinning:

What OP says, i can relate to at least 90%. I didnt had much time to play yet so my Wizard is only lvl60, but if you let me join i’ll share a picture of my cat with you!

I was playing around with creating a similar guild myself, but I need to be realistic and I just don’t have the free time any-more!

I’d be more then interested to join if you haven’t already been flooded with requests!

i would love to be a part of your guild. i’ve been looking for a specifically english speaking guild to get myself and my friends who are playing with me involved in and this looks like a good bet. we are a group ranging from casual to semi-hardcore and we’re, currently, having a really nice time enjoying tree of savior. that being said, i would like to meet more people from the tree of savior community and this guild seems like a perfect opportunity! well, as soon as it’s made

my in game name is Deckerson, please whisper or send me a friend request so we can chat more and see if we get on! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi there, I like your description of the upcoming guild which is why I’d like to be a part of this guild as well.
