Equipment trade-in with new combat system @IMC

I see that the option of a trade-in is not only not neglected but also planned

With these new combat system changes, specifically the new armor effects, we noticed more players wanting to switch their current armor for that of a different type, so we also plan to create a system that let you exchange your Lolopanther or Solmiki armor for the same items of a different type. We expect this system to allow players one single exchange per piece of armor, free of charge.

But it’s not only armor. It’s also practonium weapons! Especially the 2x practonium weapons which are, in my opinion, more of a pain to get than complete Lolo or the first Solmiki set parts.

Like for example a Druid that worked for a Heart of Glory actually needs a Skull Smasher or a Plague Doctor (that’s my case) that wanted a Skull Smasher because it actually didn’t matter for the matk and threw in Red Gems is double slapped in the face with the new Sadhu that needs Blue Gems. Or most physical DPS that want Green Gems back. And high level Gems being also a big ressource problem and a lot of Uphill Defense work that’s quite sad.

So how about as addition to the reset event:

• Free gem extraction without level reduction
• Practonium Weapon disassembly.
  This could be done in a way that you can disassemble a practonium weapon and get all materials used for crafting inclusive the recipe back. (What you will lose is the money invested into upgrading it)

I guess this should reduce a lot of frustration and motivate players to trade materials, recipes and farm new ones and especially try out more class combinations for a more diverse class distribution as probably many feel forced to stick to builds because of weapons and gems. Could be good at least imho.

I also wish we could trade the item more than once, at least during reset events or weekly/monthly or something like this. But well, at least you can switch one time if you farmed it before patch :<

Character bound equipment is the cancer of every game. I will not waste my time to craft a single red weapon under these horrible conditions.

Best would be either full equipment exchange (no matter which equipment you have, allowing you to trade it for an equal star/rarity/level item) or no exchange at all.

It’s not fair that only ET equipment gets refunded while basically all equipment was affected. Those who can do ET can just “farm another set” like you basically told all other people with this message: “Hey,we changed all your equipment stats, no go and farm a new set if you don’t like your old ones anymore!”.
This applies to Hunting Ground gears as well as things like monster cards etc. that are locked behind DPK/RNG and partially daily limits as well.

That’s why it’s either refund for everyone who spent their time gearing up or for noone;
people who run ET are the minority of people affected by the system changes and yet they get special treatment?

IMC sure likes to create more discord & hate towards the game…

It wouldn’t be a problem if not for ■■■■■■■ transcendence, you could just sell or trade your weapon and get the one you want. Once again, terrible system. Got a transcended practonium weapon and now you want a different weapon? Too bad you have to decide whether to keep 90% of the shards you invested or keep the pract weapon.

Honestly I don’t see why removing transcendence should destroy either the shards or the equipment considering you don’t even get a full refund. In fact, I don’t see why transcended equipment is untradeable when shards and gems are tradeable. Might as well make socketed equipment untradeable too.

Honestly I don’t see why removing transcendence should destroy either the shards or the equipment considering you don’t even get a full refund. In fact, I don’t see why transcended equipment is untradeable when shards and gems are tradeable.

That’s something I will never understand as well. It’s horrible design especially if you want to play multiple characters. Forces you into one and never change gear.

Do they say this somewhere? I only saw the earth tower equipment swapping thing and shard refund being changed to 90%.

Didn’t check, neither did I see in a video. I heard when talking with a guy in a voip, he has a ktos account and stuff. Not sure if this is real tho. But skill attribute points system will be added and all our money spent on attributes will be refunded as points, maybe it will work like that.

They mentioned in the patchlogs that with the overhaul every weapon loses transcend and players get all their shards refunded. Also all attributes will be lost and silver refunded.

Attributes aren’t refunded as silver but as attribute points.
