Equipment enhancement bug?

I upgraded a sword to +16 without ever failing once, then I realised my internet connection had just reconnected and thought I’d get disconnected from server, but surprisingly the game kept going, and I didn’t know what the maximum was and tried again, failed and went back to +15. Later I researched and found out that the maximum is +15 (didn’t find any recent posts about this, but about a year ago the maximum was +15).

My question is, would it be possible that it just never failed because my internet connection disconnected for a few seconds? Or was I just unbelievably lucky to get my sword +16 in my very first attempt to enhance? And if it did go to +16 before I stupidly tried again and got it back to +15, wasn’t it above the maximum?

Well, unless they change the chance.

Around +9 or + 10, you have around 50% chance to fail. Soo to get at + 15 starting from +10
+11 = 50%
+12 = 25%
+13 = 12,5%
+14 = 6,25%
+15 = 3,125%
Those are the chance for it to happen whitout fail starting from +10.
Soo… yeah it quite lucky considering your chance start to fall down (up to 50%) starting from +5.
It seem to be different for KToS, more easier maybe or maybe a pay to upgrade item, Idk but I saw some +15 weapon from their video.

Not sure if that is still up to date, but it mentions 51% chance each time for every enchant above +10.

0.48% probability for +15 if doing it consecutively.

Thanks for your reply, but where did you see there is no max? Everywhere I checked only shows till +15 and doesn’t mention there’s no max, also, if there’s no max, do you know if the glow effect increases after +15? My +15 sword glows, but not much. Thanks

A recent video that came out of kToS showed an SR with a +22 Manamana, so I’d say its definitely possible.

I could be wrong about the exact level, but I think at +20 and higher the glow becomes red? Certainly in the video I mentioned it was glowing red. I’ve heard that the higher the upgrade level the more pronounced the glow becomes, but I don’t know about that.

During the last exploit of a upgrade bug there where several people that upgraded their items to +50.
