EPIC FAIL: Beta Tester Button

Hello guys!
I have a report for you!
Please, if I make some mistakes on my essay, forgive me… I’m a brazilian players and i’m not the best in the English Language!

So, here is the “deal”.
Today, I was excited about the keys. But, I didn’t have access to a computer in the entire day, just my smartphone. So, when I knew that the keys was gave away, I checked my email and I didn’t receive one… Ok, no problems here.
But, when I was logged in the site… WHAT A SURPRISE!
I have a button: “BETA TESTER”
I was really excited! Even when I clicked on the button and it didn’t nothing… but, there it this! In the site i am a Beta Tester!
Then, now, on the computer, I see on the site that, when I click on the button, it said to me “You are not Beta Tester”… How disappointed I am now.
You guys could NOT put that button there… If I am NOT a Beta Tester, I didn’t needed this emotion of “I am on the game!!” the entire day.
I’m disappointed with you.

The point of the button being there is to check directly if you are a beta tester or not. If you are, you will get the key, and if you don’t, you won’t. Plus, it’s quicker way rather than waiting for the email to hit the inbox.

They did say

Beta Tester Selection and Beta Key Distribution Date

Friday, July 31, 2015

For those selected as Beta Testers, you will receive Beta Keys through e-mail and you will also be able to check the keys in the Official Website.

I’m disappointed with you.

But, think with me: If I’m not a beta tester, I don’t need that button there! It’s just a horrible way to give hope for all the people… They could check, on the logon, if that email is or isn’t a Beta Tester…
Its a better way.

Not a single person that is not very accustomed to “engrish” would have guessed that this is supposed to mean:
Hey, we added a button to our front page layout which allows players to verify wether they passed / got selected or not. rofl.

It would be pretty cool if they had at least 1 person working in the company that has at least a semi “alright” grasp of the english language. If not, which is APPARENTLY the case, at least hire someone for stuff like that. It’s a bit cringy when you, as a company, release public statements like this. Just as the message itself -> “You are not beta tester”. lol.

On a side note, it was pretty tough to convince some of my friends to give Tree of Savior a shot. “Whats up with the awkward english in official posts?” “Wait what, why do they need players to translate the game for them? Especially regarding the english version?” and so on. I can’t blame them though. It’s a bit hard to take it serious when you see stuff like that. Leaves a bad after taste.

PT - O botão fica ali pra verificar com mais facilidade se você foi selecionado ou não. E-mails as vezes não chegam direito, caem na caixa de spam, demoram a chegar de acordo com a empresa que fornece o serviço e tal, por isso pode dar problema. É mais facil clicar ali e saber de cara entendeu?

EN - That troll button is there so people can check if they were selected for the iCBT or not. Sometimes e-mails don’t arrive properly, go to spam folder and filters alike and can delay depending on the service provider. It’s easier, faster and more reliable to just click there.

If you actually took the time to read what @GabzTodaro said in his original post, you would know that he was saying that IMC games shouldn’t have a big red “Beta Key” button for those who did not get invited to the beta because it is misleading. He didn’t ask what the button was there for.

I got a key myself so this isn’t me whining for not getting in. I feel that the button and the pop-up message sound quite… trolling… :laughing: I mean they could have directly add a message into the the page to tell you whether or not you get selected.

The button is right beside the logout button so it feels quite personal. It’s red, its label is “Beta Tester” and it has an image of a key on it. Most if not everyone who first look at it will think that they got selected, then they went all excited clicking on the button just to see this message popped up right into their face “You are not Beta tester”. :laughing:

I mean I am sorry for using this face > :laughing: < but… :laughing: IMC damn sure know how to play prank. :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

I hope we all will soon be able to play together in OBT and finally the final release! :smile:

but i check my email i have email from tos but is not invite key is just a report tread from forum

i dont know my “status” beta or no
