  • There’s no need to attack the BR peeps. They have @$$holes, we have @$$holes, every location does. The just happen to have loud @$$holes and quiet nice people.

  • “Gringo” is not derogatory in any way. It’s just a way to quickly describe an English speaking north-American. It’s probably not offensive since 1800’s in Mexico.

  • South America will still have an assigned server, local servers didn’t improve the lag enough anyway. Having the SA servers in Brazil meant a larger delay for players in every other south American country, and it’s also weird for SA to be lumped together, since everyone speaks Spanish but the Brazilians.

  • OP, It is common courtesy to keep conversations in the most used language. Especially on general discussion forums. If you really needed to post this here, it would’ve been nice to set a disclaimer or something in your post Portuguese only or something, or simply write the title in br-pt. It’s nothing to make a big fuzz about, but it would’ve been ideal.

sobre silute, acho que a imc vai enrolar ele o máximo que conseguir e quando a comunidade diminuir bastante irá anunciar a transferencia pra orsha ou klaipeda e anunciar que irá abri um novo servidor na américa do sul que provavelmente vai levar anos, pq a imc tbm não gasta da gente, FATO!

It is my understanding that gringo is slang for any foreigner… I’m not from Brazil through so someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Spik and beaner are deragetory because they have negative connotations and single out a single people.

Gringo is akin to saying tourist

Although in the past gringo did have negative connotations and singled out white foreigners (specifically US?)… Again see above about me not being from Brazil or SA

That can’t be a case closed if you can’t tell what is a pejorative term from a non pejorative one.

Spik is a mockery of how mexicans says “speak”. Beaner are bean eaters, yes, another way to lessen mexicans.
Gringo originated from “Grego” (greek), because the language is far different and hard to understand. It is not a mockery, nowadays is just a colloquial way of saying “foreign”

Your point does not stands, there is no double standard here.
