Either the performance patch didn't work or it was nearly entirely ineffective

The screen stuttering is usually alleviated by enabling vsync back. There’s no need to have over 60 FPS in this game anyway.

Also there wasn’t much improvement on performance as expected, but it also seems to have introduced a weird texture bug. I see every character painted white when behind objects now.

It is not a bug. They simplified character’s silhouettes behind objects from a nice gray outline to simple white.

Really? It looks terrible.

I got a small boost when in Town compared to before; probably only gonna be a 4~5 FPS increase during crowded World Boss fights if lucky.

But I was still stuttering during Missions earlier when the amount of skill sfx on-screen at once reached a high point, just like before.

I’ve actually got a significant boost.

Maybe the fix has greater effect for lower-end machines, because on my old laptop the fix is a good boost whereas on my gaming desktop, fix is just average.

got 10-15 fps in fedimian

i7 860 4,2ghz 4 cores 4 threads. all cpu’s are under 50% taxed
8gb ddr3, only 6gb used max
gpu around 40% used ( 970 gtx )

This means, it’s the engine as there is zero bottleneck going on hardware wise

I did move the game towards a SSD, SSD seems to help a lot with lock ups, but frankly it still drops down.

It’s completely the engine tho, because framerates are all over the place.

A mate of mine has the same setup with 16gb ddr4 + i7 6700, same low framerates and a 970, and a SSD.

The biggest offender is load times in my opinion, dungeons are also a lag fest of skill delays that hardly work.

There is something engine wise going wrong.

dude has a 650 with 1gb of v-ram. so yea he probably hits a v-ram wall at this point. as the game does use more then 1gb v-ram at times. i would just disable all those effects to be honest.

There is an addon allow you to diable all spell effect, downside including healing tiles as well.

Seriously? Can you find me a game coming out 15 years ago whose graphic is so delicate and beautiful? I guess you are from the future, aren’t you? Do you live in like what, 2030?

I found that vsync is required for this game to work properly. Once it goes above the monitor refresh rate in FPS weird things happen like flickering, tearing, and stuttering. I think there are some forms of vsync now that doesn’t affect FPS below your refresh rate whereas normal vsync does. If your rig is high end, you should have one of those technologies available.

Also, I found that apparently 300 ms for //ping is not normal. I uninstalled that Leatrix latency fix that many people recommended installing before. This fixed my ping to 100 ms on average, which is better I suppose.

Patience is a virtue.

If you like the game and support IMC, wait on it.
If you don’t care for them and honestly just expect them to pull it out of their ass in 15 seconds, well. You’re gonna rage a lot more.

Play other games if you’re tired of raging over this.

Come back in a couple days. Don’t ever stick to a game that is still under development, you’re just gonna end up hating it.

Now try to do that without lag or freezes for old PCs.

vsync is vsync and it does what it does

if the machine doesnt handle it well it has not enough power, thats why old games allowed setting fps-max values by console commands
