Editing Hotkeys

I want to edit the keys using hotkey.xml file in notepad. Do you guys think its safe. I wont break anything ahaha.

It should be fine but make a copy of the file first as always .-. but why would you want to edit the keys in notepad? I would assume that the game allows you to change the keys yourself in game.

Sadly you can't remap controls, at least not in game. There may be a config somewhere, or they may add it in the future. Edit: You can remap skills with the hotkey.xml file in the release folder.

Based on this, you won’t be able to remap your keys.

I’ve seen streamers move their skill hotkeys to the 1-0 so it should be possible.

Currently the keybindings just look absolutely terrible, so I do hope they’ll have an in-game way of changing them. If I could move with WSAD and aim with the mouse while using my standard mmo keybinding template for the skills I’d be golden.

Otherwise it’s going to be a long and arduous process to break out of a 10+ year habit of control layouts. I’d even settle for a more traditional isometric ARPG/Diablo style movement and skill usage.

I edited the hotkey xml file lol. We will see how that works out when the servers open ahaha. I got a back up of the original file anyways so might as well give it a shot, thanks guys.
