Edit audio files

I was getting bored with some audio tracks. Besides, was really interested in edit some skills speach… Soooo

Does anyone knows where the audio files are located and/or how to edit them?

Could anyone of the staff, please, give em a notice if this kind of edition is ok?

Thanks in advance! I will dig a little an update here if anything new shows up

As long as it don’t cause you to have advantage in game, customization like that i wouldn’t see a problem, a staff can tell tho if it is ok or not, i would guess it is there was other post about customization of music an load screens background, as for char voicing, that require you to break the encryption of some files and that i wouldn’t recommend, some people do for addons, but for audio files, not sure which one file is.

The BGM folder is on TreeOfSavior\release\BGM folder, same for loading screen backgrounds, they are in the loadingimg folder.

You are fast! Thank you for the answer!

I’m really looking to edit the voices, but didn’t made anything yet exactly to avoid this kind of problem. The audio and load screens isn’t a major issue, but the voices… Well, I’ll keep an eye (or ear) for it. Thanks again!

You can change it from Korean Voicing to Japanese Voicing if that is not the problem, but the childish tone still basically the same, to do so you go on the release folder, open the user.xml and edit the following:

Don’t change the one i put an X or your game will crash, its the one i circled(?) in a box after the volume settings.

I am looking for an more specific edition, the exactly speech of the exactly skill. Create an compatible file and change it. But it seems that, at least by now, is impossible…

Not impossible but pretty hard, do a little search about how to make tos addons and you might find what is required, someone here might link the page that tells how to.

As far as I’m able to tell, you CAN do this, but I’m not sure how feasible it would be to do it. All the sound effects are stored in data/sound.ipf. There are tools available to decrypt and extract the files in here, but directly editing the data files is probably not the best of ideas.

I don’t know what capabilities you have available with LUA, but it might be easier to use that than decrypt -> unpack -> unpack again-> edit -> repack -> repack again -> encrypt -> pray.

“Pray” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, I don’t have those skills, so i’ll accept the things how they are. Really thanks for all the answers!

i believe the sound files are encrypted, ontop of the encryption on the ipf files

Now that I’ve done a bit of fiddling it looks like most, if not all the files inside the ipf are unencrypted. I’m able to open most of the files in it aside from the sound data itself in a readable format using notepad++.

Only R1.fev, SE.fsb, and skilvoice_kor.fsb (and of course track.mp3, but it’s playable in VLC) are not human-readable in notepad++, but they don’t cause errors, so I’m inclined to believe they’re not encrypted.

of course, it will still be a lot of work to try and break these apart for direct editing.

this is officially against the ToS ToS. (Tree / Terms of Service.)
it falls under “editing game files”.

that said, i doubt they’re -really- going to care very much.

I was banned from a fps because I removed the entire sound file so I could run the game :expressionless: < won’t mention game

to be sure always ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure to let a staff member know of your intentions…

that been said…

@STAFF_Ines I hope you can take some time and let us all know if it’s safe to edit the audio files on this game

wow… simply deleting the sound files… banning seems rather… extreme. o_O

i mean if you deleted them, and then replaced them with “inappropriate” audio and that audio also played for other players… then i could see it. but just removing it entirely? hardly seems reasonable.

on topic tho… it’s been asked a number of times before, and i’ve never seen a staff reply on it yet.

@STAFF_Max @STAFF_Ethan anyone got an official word on sound mods?
