Dying on a Boss Fight

Hello,

I died (one shoted) right when the boss died. Apparently I am the only person in the game that takes res so I had to try and run back to the boss before we got kicked out. I did not make it and lost the cube. Is there anything I can do about this? Also, are they re-thinking the idea of kicking players out right after the boss dies to prevent this in the future?

they already did: soul crystals in shop.

the game sucks for priest with ress skill
cuz when you die, you can only either spawn from start or use a crystal

it also sucks for dps who tried hard to kill boss but died at the end receiving no exp/items

basically this can be prevented by 1) YOU be a leecher and stay in safe spot or
2) IMC make item and exp reward automatically go in your inventory upon completion as long as you are alive before kick out

Dont die as priest then - invest more in CON and decent protection equips. Your job is to keep yourself safe and put healing tiles on ground for others to heal and occasionally buff.

Also Revive.

agree with you, I have 200 spr and 200 con but still die utterly bc the freaking boss is 10lv higher than me which is stupid enough.
But that makes game interesting, no complain here since I’m master at bossing now lol. Actually I have to be thankful for that.

Isn’t this the case for most mmorpgs? Can we stop the spoonfeeding now?

U can buy 1-1.5 soul crystal/day, so who to blame, urself or IMCs?

And let’s face it, that’s how the majority plays in dungeons. Making the ā€˜don’t die’ argument kind of none-sensical when only 2 players in the party are actually taking (unavoidable) damage.

Other MMOs have proper aggro. If you aren’t a dex build you will also take massive damage from physical damage. (especially ranged, it cant be avoided)

It works the other way around as well. If you are many levels above you typically take way less damage. (altho strangely enough it seems to apply more to physical then magical damage)

1 soul crystal a day keeps the deaths away!

Builds with decent Con amount and a good shield encrusted with blue gems block a good deal of physical attacks. Dex’s evasion is mostly redundant, especially on support cleric builds.

Dying to a boss fight by lag is even more sad and pathetic… and when using soul crystal, and still dying because of lag :unamused: (has experienced this, lots of times, especially during the week of ā€œMovement Validation Errorā€)

Only heavy con builds using an Aias block a ā€˜good deal of attacks’.

At bare minimum support clerics have safety zone and healing to fall back to. I’m talking more about wizard builds that don’t stack heavy con.

Dex evasion is only redundant against magic tho. Any succesful evade is much better then a block, since you don’t get staggered when attacks miss.

It is also semi-useless against ranged enemies as they have way higher accuracy. And melee enemies should be kited and deal no damage.

This thread is about clerics mostly, because in normal group all other classes can usually be raised by their priest.
