how do these builds compare to eachother? just looking at the skills you get as hoplite it seems to me that they would synergise better with corsair. i wouldnt be disappointed if im wrong though cause i prefer swords over spears lol
I prefer the second option myself, but that’s a matter of personal opinion.
Barbarian C2 is good for stuns and seism damage but warcry and frenzy isn’t so good without the C3 attributes. So don’t expect those skills to help your DWA damage much. Taking doppel C1 at rank 7 imo isn’t a good idea cause you could already be doppel C2 by then.
with the second build you have finestra which is AWESOME even at later levels (100 crit rate is basically 100 dex!) and the attribute increasing it’s AoE attack ratio by 3 will make your auto-attacks better to use. Even if at later game you don’t get to use DWA much you’ll still have nice crits and spear lunge to make your pierce attacks deal almost double dmg.
I think the barbarian build is slightly better at survivability because of the helm chopper & seism stuns (CC) and the fact it will have higher evasion than the hoplite build due to finestra’s penality to evasion (which hurts a lot esp. with the splash attack attribute). The hoplite build feels more like a glass cannon with more DPS unless you focus a lot on CON. As for my personal decision i’d pick hoplite because finestra and spear lunge is just too good to pass on and dragoon C1 looks better than doppel C1.
