Dungeon System suggestion

Something is really strange to me in this game since i started playing. The first thing that i noticed was that terrible dungeon system, that you need to run through maps just to find a dungeon, and it’s even worse when you’re a new player and just don’t know where to find or what’s the best jungle for your level.

My suggestion is creating a menu where you can access every dungeon in the game, just like any other RPG with dungeon + queue system needs. There’s no reason to put dungeons on different maps at all, if IMC reason is to make different from others RPG’s, then you need at least to make it better… lol

With a more dinamic dungeon system, the queue and everything else dungeon related, imo, would be better. No one likes to run through maps just to enter on a queue and then wait for 10 minutes, it’s not something needed or even fun to do.

Or maybe if we had to run to a place where the dungeon is actually played would AT LEAST make any sense, more than be teleported to a randon location that have nothing to do with the place that you was before.

To fair, it’s almost impossible to miss the dungeon entrances because all your main quest lines lead through them.

And there have been plenty MMORPGs where you actually needed to walk to the dungeon entrance to enter it before ToS, they didn’t reinvent that wheel. In fact the only Asian MMORPG that has a dungeon finder that I know is Fiesta Online. Even AAA titles like Aion require you to find and move to the entrance.

But I agree that a list and queue from anywhere system is much better and would be nice for ToS to have. Also allowing to play while waiting.

Well, almost all mmorpg that have dungeon system, had a search function too… But, my mistake then, thank you.

“almost all MMORPGs I’ve played”

Aion, Allods Online, RaiderZ, Rappelz, Ragnarok Online, all those don’t have a dungeon finder. At least didn’t have one when I played them. All required you to actual walk to the instance entrance.

Of the 6 open world games with instanced dungeons I’ve played only 1 had a dungeon finder.

Just let us start queues within any map while playing, and get rid of the stupid dialog box that gets in the way of your screen. If someone leaves the current map they started a queue in, drop them/end the queue. Simple.

Now if you were talking about Missions, that needs some kind of level averaging as well to keep it even possible to do at any timezone.

Right now, it can get so bad because of the spread of rerolls and levels, there is no way this system is appropriate for this game long term.

The missions need static exp gains from the mobs via temporarily scaling your character up/down to meet the average of the players who matched up.
