Drop and exp limitation based on level of your character

drop or exp limit

which one are you chose, me drop limit off exp limit on
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Um… What?

i think he’s talking about level cap or sumthin

I’d rather take an exp limitation if the game has any rare drops that only some mobs have, but I doubt ToS will have either limitation.

if your character lv in game goes to high example: your lv 200 and kill lv 10 monster what will you choose it keep give a drop and exp or just exp or nothing either.

I am really not a fan of getting lesser exp or drop rate of a monster just because its 10 level behind me, I know it should take care of map farming, but it also destroys meeting points of groups and guild ingame, as it was fun to stay on the map and suddenly you find something rare although you didnt even try to find something.

also i dont like get forced to change the map, it feels linear and like ā€œokay you finished this chapter, now go on! GO ON OR I WILL STOP MAKING YOU ENJOY THE GAMEā€ well something like that.

hey no need for insults, its obvious that OP’s mother tongue is not english but atleast hes tryin hes best to ask his question

please keep in mind, not everyone is a native english speaker

I’d totally agree with you even it’s theres so many non-natives speakers this type of post is below standard. I think even using google translated that post would have looked better.

Whats worse is he makes a really good point. Ragnarok had a fixed loot, xp, stat system that really dictated how the game progressed and made numerous items useful from level 1 to level 99, cards naturally being the greatest example…

I wrote about this in length before and I know ToS won’t have this system… But I adore the RO system and how it handled things. How so many items were backwards compatible. How as a level 10 guy you could find an item worth a million zeny and basically cover your basic equipment needs all the way to like 50.

I’d definitely prefer a system where loot drops no matter what the level. I know with server wide auction houses this might not be the best economic idea considering low level players are supposed to sell these items there but the problem becomes that so many item flood the market they’re reduced to literally nothing.

Let’s take fluff and feathers as an example from RO, both of these very low level items were used in great numbers for numerous headgears the most prominent one being the black cat ears. Naturally everyone that ever farmed Fabres will have had tons of them in their inventory. But since there was no auction house people just mostly sold them as vendor trash to get money. While some opportunistic individuals knowing their true value saved them and later sold them at inflated prices to other players. Naturally this is all but eliminated with an auction house but if ToS doesn’t have one or if such low items aren’t sold on it there could be a real market for opportunists to sell low level crafting/glamour material.

Then theres also getting XP from monsters that are lower level. I liked how in RO say I went as a level 80 Rouge to farm Sidewinders to get the card. Now naturally these monsters were very inefficient on XP and jXP but I still got some so after god knows how many hours or something killing them would still give me some XP even if it’s just 20%…

So I’m for both monsters giving XP and droping loot even after you clearly out leveled them. I am sick and tired of these MMOs that tell you were to go and what to do hand holding your all the way. As someone put it it’s these new ā€œTheme Rideā€ MMOs are boring.
