Hello Saviors today i bring you my Dream Patch Notes for Swordsman.

Today we will bring proper scaling into Swordsman jobs.


Swordsman

    –The damage dealt by this skill has been changed from 56+15 per level to 60 + 10% PATK per level.

  • Bash
    –The damage dealt by this skill has been changed from 54+18 per level to +10% PATK per level.

  • Gung Ho
    –Armor reduction removed.

  • NEW : Intimidation (1 point skill)
    –Provoke nerby monsters(does not generate threat).

  • NEW : Armor Leather
    –Allow the use of Leather equipment

  • NEW : Armor Plate
    –Allow the use of Plate Armor

    –Armor reduction removed.

    –Stun Increased to 2 seconds but cannot apply to the same target for 4 seconds (2seconds downtime).

  • Pommel Beat
    – The damage dealt by this skill has been changed from 118+28 per level to 130+10% PATK per level.
    –Ignores defense on small and medium enemies.

  • Attributes

  • Thrust:Continuous Attack
    –Now make Thrust a multi-hit skill(10 hits, similar to stabbing).
    –Cooldown +10seconds.

  • NEW : Concentrate:Specialization
    –Increases hit count by 2 per attribute level (max 5).

well, sorry to say, this may be seem sily of me, but umbo and rim blow, need a nerf even before the dream is over, since with that value, once you put it at lvl 15 plus murmilio, it will go up to insane damage.
a good shield at lvl 220 have 120 x 15 defense, would be 1800 and murmilio attribute gives 400% scaling, now if you add the 330% scaling from petal 2 high guard.
it will go up to 1800x4x3,3=23,7k base damage, let’s not even start the debuff, with strike debuff that can up to 250% with a rodel build and also a wizard.
so we are looking up, to 59k damage without any attribute in those skills and without weak to strike as well, so they can go up even higher and also let’s not forget the overheat of 2 and cd of 12 seconds, so why we would need other classes?
please, nerf, we need a nerf on petal, because the class is tank, you can see that the damage can become really high even if we remove the scaling from murmilio.
edit: again never even saw the longort as well, it will go to insane values.
PLEASE even in dreams the people see petal as better DPS than the other options like highlander and swordsman, :(. i think that the topic about murmilio being the new god is really affecting the players base.

rank8 onwards, we could improve the lower ranks. Imb4 someone comments on OMG MURMILLO BLABLABLA, simply tone down the helmet boost.

nope it is not, swordsman never be an OP, whenever how many ranks release, in the end wizard and cleric is still OP on this game

Rank 9~ they’ll probably become ridiculous tbh. Rank 8 is very noticable because people obviously see how magic’s lack of scaling is starting to conflict with Physical scaling crits.

Swordies can now competitively DPS next to Archers, though when I say Swordies I mean Fencers and Dragoons, and it’s more single target. The real reason why Magic is so overwhelming is the all encompassing range, not so much the damage they throw out. It’s great, but it’s the fact that they can hit so many enemies at once is whats up.

As for these patch notes…meh. Slapping scaling onto everything won’t solve anything other than giving you 15 more buttons to press to give the illusion you’re doing things. There’s more intrusive problems with Swordies, and then there’s the game’s design of what is currently anti-melee. All this would accomplish is give you damage, but what’s the point if you can’t make use of it?

  • Finestra’s range is actually larger than Stabbing’s range. You can miss Stabbing entirely because of this due to whiffing. There’s alot of strange buff interactions that don’t particularly add up.

  • Corsair3, aside farming, is still hot trash and incredibly saddening both as a C3 class, and to continuing. Squires also fall into this redundancy.

  • Reduce Repair Cost/Increase efficiency anyone? Considering we’re the main class who gets eaten up.

  • Moar resistance to tanking entirely, making Bruiser builds feel welcome. Why doesn’t Pelt have overall defense steroids while Rodel makes them more active since it’s role is a CC scrambler?

Just like the beat-them-up games that adds a gun/bow/magic character to their roster for the sake of variety(cashgrabbing).

True, but if the game shifts into an anti-magic setting, Swordies and Archers will be better off than Wizards and perhaps Clerics as well.

It’s just that right now, it’s suited to AOE. But if bosses get high resistances to MDEF and Elemental Properties, you’ll see a slow transition. Among other things like a magical reflect or some other junk.
