current builds for pvp out of my head

Sw2-Hop2-Cor3-Dragoon1 -> to possibly take Dragoon 2 later, quite sure we’ll see even more pistol-incompatible classes so futureproofing here - the build I’m sporting… will be quite weak in PvE during c8.

Sw2-Hop2-Cor2-Dragoon2 -> less hook, no pistol, needs switch for long stride, but more dmg and Dethrone

Sw2-Hop2-Cata3-Lancer1 -> to boost those Pierce skills of Cata and Lancer after you’ve knocked em down or if they are already CCed

Sw3-Cata3-Cor1-Lancer1 -> full retarded Cowboy CC build

Sw3-High1-Rodel3-Murm1 -> possible murmillo with stuns and strike damage.

Sw3-Barb3-Dragoon2 -> honestly, you’ve got a ton of stuns (Seism is also good hitbox) and 2 throwing spears of OMG-dmg once in 16 sec from OMFG range + pouncing and bash. what else do you need?

those are theory. a guildmate is already trying last one.

20% to medium not make big different
since 2hd spear give 10% damage modifier
so only 10% different
Highlander got better pierce debuff - Cross guard

size modifiers dont work in PvP

sw2-barb3-cata3

it would be a total trololo build.

trot + pounce yeeehaw!
trot + restrain + rush yeehaaaawww!

(then rank 9 take corsair or lancer)

20% bonus damage against Medium sized monsters ain’t going to be a game changer for Hoplite 3 in my opinion, since we are talking about Dragoon which full potential is at bossing. Bosses are large sized monster, so there’s that. Although, Hoplite 3 got their Spear Throw (3 hits per throw, anyone?) boosted, so that might become a consideration for choosing Hop 3 instead of Corsair 2.

dragoon give bonus to boss and large size monsters, now they also have 20% to medium. Its 1 hand spear, yeah, but dethrone will hit like a truck with 1 handed or 2 handed separ and it makes dragoon stronger for mobbing too.

dragoon 100% melee dmg debuff got nerf from 10 to 5 sec

wouldnt want u swordie to be too happy now.

i would prefer attribute of serpentine adding CD by 10 or something like that

ugh, 5 sec just too short -_- even shorter than spear lunge, will have to spear lunge -> serpentine -> I guess max of 2 fast skills like Hexen

I actually enjoy spears in every game and Dethrone reminded me of Javazon build (Javelin Amazon) from Diablo 2.
