im having my doubts about the viability of swordmen in gvgs, the damage some archers and wizards deal is unreal, they can kite our asses and freeze us and all kinds of ■■■■. all we have for gapcloser is that weird jump with a super long landing lag and our dash (lol)
And Cataphract + HP.
this game is built by giving players to try things out using varieties of builds that suit us, 1 type of build cannot fulfill every aspect unlike other games… pve pvp gvg u just have to really go for multiple toons each for their own strong point the way you built it instead of being on the bandwagon going for the “best” build others simulated…
go corsair, distance gap problem solved but build wise will pop out another problem and/or dilemma
go cataphract, faster movement speed sorta solve your distance gap problem but have to take some hits before reaching, then pop out next dilemma bout liking the circle or not…
IMO… just build a toon specific for pve/ pvp/ gvg
i myself going for a typical pve dragoon build pretty darn sure i aint gonna use that toon for pvp/ gvg knowing the flaw of the build aint meant for those…
I don’t like the idea of having a toon specific for pve/pvp/gvg I think every class should be able to do everything on their role (dps, support, tank, etc.) but that’s not ToS case…
haha melee in this game pretty much have distance issue and the only thing that helps are really just the 2 circle i’ve mentioned, so either build something with them in it, or go range~ i know you are frustrated i myself have been figuring out how to really built an all rounder toon but swordman being all rounder really lose too much of their potential
i really dont want to play cataphract, they look so silly on their mounts 
you can go c3 hop > c1 dop > dragoon if you like

that build is bad pvp, if u dont have cata 3 or corsair 1 or at least sword 3, u will suc in pvp
some pvp builds for swordie:
sword 3>cata3>dragoon is a good option
sword 3>pelt/highlander>corsair 2> shinobi is a great 1v1 pvp build
pelt/highlander>hop2>cosair 2> shinobi is an option too
pelt/highlander>hop3>corsair>dragoon could work too i guess
i like the sword 3>highlander>corsair>doppel 2 build, but i stoped this guy a bit due to recent changes in kTOS swordsman, i’m waiting to see what hapens in iTOS…
I dont like that, it makes people not put thoughts into their builds. When a class can do everything, something is wrong. Having everything with a single build is retarded.
One thing though, is they should reduce the ridiculousness of CC, against players at least. Freeze esp is just so OP.
Having specific character to do each thing on the game, having to create so many chars to play the full game in my opnion is wrong aswell.
Lets say I hate all other classes but sorcerer (no linker included), will I ever finish Earth Tower? (the end game right now) probably not.

Lol no. If you hate all other characters, that’s on you. This isnt a private server. Or Diablo 3. Ragnarok and all those other games did fine with limited/no interchangeable builds.

It is flat out wrong that you can change your build willy nilly in an MMO. Dumb people want it, I know, but games shouldnt be easy, you should put some thought into it. Sure mistakes happen and resets are needed, but no way should it be unlimited and free.
lol no, that is not a reason enough. Plague Doctor will still function enough even with a nerfed status ailment system. Ragnarok only had 2 classes that counters ailments, but ailments were preventable in some ways but at the cost of changing your equips/stats. Freeze, sleep and stone curse stop you from doing anything for a while, but they get broken when you are attacked. Stun is the same, but harder to inflict and easier to counter, but you can hit them as many times during the duration etc. There’s pros and cons. In TOS you get frozen you are dead. A single second in MMO pvps is enough to turn the tide in another player’s favor, what more a couple?!
Has anyone of you seen the pvp of kCBT? The top players are mostly magic classes. That shouldnt be the case. There should be room for counterplay for other classes, not “Im frozen okay GG”
But I never said anything about change build.
interchangeable builds is changing builds. That will completely kill diversity of builds since hybrid builds will die out.
