First and foremost, I have a few questions concerning the game in general, as I wasnt able to play the OBT1-2.

are some area lacking any mob like in ragnarok online had? so using a mount was actually very useful to find the mob instead of teleporting everywhere?
If so what Could i replace Cataphract with since I wouldn’t need the mount I guess

and what I am aiming for is a 2H spear user. Which is an all rounder…relatively good in PvP and PvE/Boss, I don’t aim to be the best, just to hold my own in PvP would be enough

so here’s option 1 for the build in question

In the option 2

I just swapped Swordman C2 for Peltasta as I heard that the Taunt is a must in any PvE party… I also heard that Restraint skill in PvP never proc at all. so I was wondering if the change was worth it.

As for stats, I heard that full DEX build are good at low lvl but drop off quick at around 200+, So I was more considering going 2:1 ration on STR:DEX till lvl 200 then swapping for 3:1:1, as STR:CON:DEX and see how it goes later!!

Thanks for your input! I’ve been reading quite abit on ToS so in preparation for the 29 march, better get my build ready!

You want all rounder? Pick the second option. No, you shouldn’t take Sword on level 2, it sucks. It’s three or no Sword at all and for PvP, basically.

Yes, it falls off.
Go with 4:1:2 or with 4:2:2, since you only have HopliteC1.

Last bit of information.

Would it be worth it to sacrifice one Cataphract for 1 more hoplit?

SwordmanC1->PeltastaC1->HoplitC2->CataphractC2->Dragoon?

Or not getting trot at max lvl to keep it up at all time is a major drop back?

Also last point that you havent answered, I looked at many video and the monster situation seems more garnished than RO so is being mounted that useful since it seems to be rather small area?

No, it’s not worth it. Not only you will have Trot uptimed, you will also have Rush, the best Cata skill.
So you either go with Hopite or with Cata.

According to the latest datamanined info, we again have 5 dungeon runs, instead of two without Token. It’s more than enough for grinding, especially with Finder 600% bonus EXP.
Open world grind is kill now. Up in high levels the density is pretty low. And mobility can help you with that, yes.

Awesome, Thanks again, that clears my fear of the higher level farming. So i’ll stick to my initial thought and go with Options 2! Thanks for your input!

I like the 1 one personally. It doesn’t at all suck. I’d call it an intermediary for PvP as it gives a better anti-CC than Sword 1, not as good as Sword 3 but in between. It also gives a 20% stun which isn’t bad at all. S2, H1, C3, D1 is great in my opinion… we all have our prefs… but it’s definitely not useless or bad. I love the Finestra :slight_smile:

ps. Don’t get me wrong, Sword 3 is great, but I prefer the 50 crit on the finestra rather than a 20% more stun chance which with rush is anyway already op at 20%

A tad of a late reply, as the game is open and this is 23 day old XD I am currently lvl 180+ and going strong

As you said we all have our pref, but from my experience now. I can definitively say that for the hybrid build that I wanted from the start. Peltasta 1 for the taunt is far more worth it than SwordmanC2, SwordmanC2 is viable, but I don’t think the bonuses you get from the 2nd circle are comparable to being able to taunt and block… plus if you go SwordmanC2, you are basically saying I wanna be good in pvp and less good in PvE. However… if your preference is PvP, There is going intermediary in my opinion :slight_smile:

But to each their own! Everything is viable and fun and its the interesting bit of the game!!!
