Dragoon 2h Spear: Hopc3? Corsair? Dopp? Need Advice

Heya

So far I’ve planned a 2h spear dragoon build, but as of late I have become uncertain as to what the optimal would be; due to conflicting information that I have found.

Hoplite c3:Some guides say to avoid going hop c3 because c3 doesn’t give you as much benefit as taking another class in that rank.

Corsair: This would literally be for the Jolly roger and the treasure chest skill since the other abilities aren’t useful for 2h spear.
I like the flavour idea behind the Jolly roger and it seems that the combo counter is quite a powerful dps improvement

Doppel: This seems to be the go to since it doesn’t clash with anything. However C2 doppel requires a sword for it’s skills. In addition I am concerned about the drawback of Deeds of Valour and whether that wouldn’t hurt me more in the long run vs the benefit it gives.

Barb Flavour: If I leave out Hop c3 and don’t go doppel or corsair then would this be preferable? I can’t imagine a doppel+corsair+dragoon being a go to with c1 in each.

So please share your thoughts on the matter and your input will be appreciated.

from how I see it, it a great debate between jolly roger and deed of valor. for my build, I didn’t wanted the taunt since I’m going to be picking Cata (I want mount!) so, I went S2, H3, C1, D1. those 2 buffs are pretty useful, but end game, when you join a group, someone will probably have that buff (hope hard! lol).
Since I heard this game will expand to like lvl 600, I’m pretty sure there will be more than 7 classes that we can pick. In the end, I think we might be able to pick up all of those classes. but I could be wrong…

Hoplite 3 with finestra maxed will roughly save you 150 Dex points in terms of critical chance…
Its not for tank, its for damage.

I am currently going the Barbarian C3 > Doppel > Dragoon path. Fully skill base damage from all the AOE skills from Doppel’s Cyclone, Barbarian’s Seism and 3 of Dragoon’s attack skills. Buff comes from Deed of Valor from Doppel, Warcry and Frenzy from Barbarian.

Early on yes, but based on Formula for Finnestra

that Static +150 to Crit Chance will fall off later on.

Its the +X% to Block Rate which stays Relevant since it will scale as you go up

How is C1 working for you? i am also considering taking C1 after H3

So thusfar it seems that people are saying that hop3 is a go to for a spear user?

don’t know… not there yet lol, I’m just grabbing C1 for the mount haha kinda stupid reason, but hey, I want a mount!! lol
