Doubts about pvp and matador build!

I’m new in swordsman tree and i was trying to build something with matador2. I have some doubts about pvp too.

sword3 is necessary in pvp oriented build?
i need corsair and/or shinobi to make some builds viable? for gap closer etc…
I’m thinking about:
sword3>highlander2>x>shinobi>matador2(x=filler, can be corsair, pelt, fencer1)
sword3>barb1>corsair3>shinobi>matador or matador2(i’m leveling this build but i think the rotation could be better)
something with fencer1>matador2 maybe? fencer1 has good debuffs

obs: I don’t wanna focus on pvp only, i’m trying to do something balanced(pvp/pve)

I have a Matador2. It’s in a pretty terrible spot right now. I would have stayed away from it if I only knew. The highest burst skill Paso Doble has a terrible hitbox. Faena has its merits but with the long 30s CD at just 2 overheats it quickly becomes a filler than a main skill. All other skills are as lackluster.

Not for all PVP sword builds but for fencer I think yes. Fencer has lots of multi-hit skills which can easily proc restrain. The nearly 100% uptime of P. Barrier is really good too both in PVE and PVP scenarios. Double Slash, despite being an R1 C3 skill, does pretty decent damage with Shinobi clones.

Corsair for PVP (pillaging is ok in PVE too but Fencer isn’t really good for farming). Shinobi for both PVP (cloak skills, mokotun) and PVE (especially bossing). Luckily since we’re now at R9 you can have both in same build.

I use to see some running around with Fencer2 Matador2 but they might already have resetted to Fencer3 Shino or something else. It’s that bad.

Just go Fencer C3.
Fencer skills with clones are realy deadly.

sw3>x>Cor>Fenc3>Shino
Pelt/Rode are good filler options for pvp.

But the build is still a glasscanon and im pretty sure needs very high invest.

I was thinking about matador because I listened fencer>matador/corsair>matador need less investment than fencerc3 :frowning:
Can you share some swordsman build? I’m tired of dragoon or doppel T.T
