Double Pay Earn doubt

Hi Guys,
Some time ago i was searching for some tips to use Doube Pay Earn correctly, found it, tyr it, but still I’m missing something.
What I usually do is acquire buffs (most of the time only sacrament and aspersion, since Blessing goes off faster), then my own buffs (Concentrate, gung-ho and finestra). Start hitting the mobs (actually Harugals in Demon prison) and once their life is very low, I buff DPE and last hit.
I heard you cant do it with “multi hit”, let’s say, so I tried also with one hit stabbing skill only, still nothing.
Do you have any additional hints or whatever to help me land and make DPE usefull?
I’m SW2>HP3>Dopel1 currently. DPE is level 1 only.

Thanks in advance and best regards.

i usually used it to get x2 exp in missions and dungeons. Just use DPE and wait till ur team lasthits the boss and u will have x2 XP. Dunno is it still works.

Yeah, for that I do the same it it’s fine.
But I was trying to take advantage of that when farming some mats. Even if it drops something, it’s only one, so I’m probably doing something wrong when it’s not a boss situation.

I know that the description doesn’t read this way, but I’m pretty sure what it means is that it doubles the RATE at which something will drop, not double the items that drop. If I’m wrong about this, someone who knows better is welcome to correct me. :open_mouth:

Nope, it’s not increases rate, it increases count. So for example instead of kepa stem, mob will drop 2 kepa stems.

it’s hard to use in party play

if u have a bit of this. when you found rare mob, you get x2

i found a lot of gold monster which drop me 2m

I read before it’s not the rate that increases, is the amount, double, of the item dropped, IF i could do it right ><
Up to see if someone have hints!
Thank you so far!

As someone who has been using it extensively for months, allow me to explain the mechanic. I have Double Pay 1, meaning 1 hit is all I get. You must kill a mob with the last hit you use, and multi-hit skills are prone to “killing the mob after all hits” even if the first hit should kill it. A bug, but one you have to just work around. So it’s best to use a single hit that is guaranteed to kill something. I generally weaken then enemy, activate Double Pay, and then Spear Lunge to finish them off.

When you successfully kill an enemy with Double Pay, it will ALWAYS give you 2x experience. If the enemy drops any items, those items will be doubled, as well as all silver it would have dropped. Double Pay ceases to do anything until it’s next activated. If the enemy drops silver but no items, it will drop double silver. Double Pay ceases to do anything until it’s next activated. If the enemy drops ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, Double Pay gives you your 2x experience and then goes into what I like to call “hibernation mode.”

This is my favorite part of this skill. While in hibernation mode, Double Pay will not track your number of hits or way you kill enemies or anything. What it WILL DO is carry over its double-silver-and-or-item effect until the next kill you make which drops silver or items. I have successfully Double Pay’d a mob who dropped nothing, and then killed 10 mobs in a row who dropped nothing until #11 dropped double its items and silver. Hopefully that explains any troubles you’ve been encountering with the skill.

Double Pay Earn doubles the drops, so if you were to get 1, you get 2 instead.

I’m not sure if it does anything for actual drop rate. Besides, doubling .01% to .02% wouldn’t be that useful.

Actual multi-hits and extra lines consume a proc of it and I believe that hitting more than one enemy at once might too, but that I’m not sure about for certain.

Any damage done to any enemies that has you as its source (including bleeds) counts against your Double Pay counter.

Thanks for detailed info. got it, so I was kind doing it right.
But, regarding activating DPE and letting the party finish the mob, boss, would work too? I’ve being trying that, but not really sure if it’s working. I’ve never used addons to count money or xp, or something to know, for example, that last boss in siluai mission give 1k silver and not give 2k because of DPE.

Double Pay silver and drops cannot trigger on bosses, and does not trigger from party kills. Only the exp bonus will come from party members killing trash while you have Double Pay active.
