[Doppelsolganger] Whats the hype with "Double pay Earn"?!

Whats the hype with Double pay earn skill on doppel? i’ve check almost all barb builds that going to doppel and they all have this Double Pay earn skill max to 5. i get it that it gives double exp and double drop rate when killed in set amount of attacks but the monsters will hit you 3x stronger and you’ll lose more durability.

i mean, is it really that great? instead of getting Punisher or Mordsclhag?

thank you!!

Imagine if you killed a bunch of mobs and that it gave you an amount of killing them two times. In essence, everything is moving at a faster rate or just fast-forwarding the grinding sequence of grinding -> going back to town for repairs, attribs acquisition, and gear upgrading. So in essence, you are saving time with it

If you partied with a squire thatd be pretty good haha.

ohh hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! yeah, it make sense… hmm

2 mistakes I see with people that pick up Double Pay Earn.

First, they don’t consider hit count. At level 5 the hit count is 5.

That means you must kill things within 5 hits to get the effect of double pay earn.

Second, the cooldown is 57s. That means you get 2x loot/exp if you kill things within 5 hits, every 57s. Sounds pretty bad now right?

It can be useful for bosses if you have great timing or are soloing.

ahmm wait what?!

here’s my understanding on Double Pay Earn. \i thought its a forever active buff. when you activate it, every monster you hit must be less than or equal to 5 hits inorder for it to work.

so you said that, if i activate this skill, it is only applicable to one monster then the buff wears off? then you’ll wait for 57secs cooldown?!

whoaaa!

Hmm you might be right, I have to retest it.

From the skill description it doesn’t give a buff timer, so I assumed it was 5 hits and it’s gone. But if its the way you say it is, it can be useful.

based on what i described. yes it is useful.

but if you’re right, that it is applicable only to one monster, then god damn it! it is only useful on boss.

My understanding is you can kill as many monsters as you can within that 5 attacks.

Example 1: You spent 3 hits to kill 1 monster, you get double exp/drops from that monster. Now you only have 2 hits remaining to kill your next monster if you want to get the double exp/drop from that one.

Example 2: You used an AoE to kill 5 monsters in 1 hit, you get double exp/drops from all of those monsters. Now you have 4 hits remaining to spend.

hmm it makes sense, an AOE skill is consider 1 hit? even though many monsters are hit? if thats the case then its good.

also, when you reach Rank 6, in those levels, is it possible to 1 Hit kill AOE the monsters?

I had already considered it to work similar to other “# of hit” skills, like Concentrate or Blessing, but now that you guys mentioned I realized it is worded “Attack Limit” instead of “# of hits”.

That is quite interesting. If it works as an Attack Limit like the description insinuates all of a sudden it has a complete different role. Previously I had been counseling my friend to try it on lvl 1-2, simply to turn it on before killing a blue mob/boss…

Would be nice to get some feedback from kCBT on this, it seems like a lot of people have been tricked by the wording on the skill.

yeah, much better if those CBT testers feedback on this, cause this skill can be misunderstand so easily that the skill description doesn’t give any clearness on the skill.

The hype is whenever you use the skill the game puts this song into the shuffle

damn. 144p exist on this video

AOE counts as each hit dealt. Not as one ^^.

Seen it in a video that an atk buff worse off with it.

That would actually be amazing

whoaaaaaaaa! wait, so, lets say theres a mob of 5 monsters, then you use AOE skill and kill them all using only that skill, then it’s considered as 5 hit? then the Double Pay Earn wears off?

I see. That means the buff will only work on 5 mobs max every 1 minute, which kinda sucks since at that level you can easily kill 30+ within a minute.

if thats the case then, yeah, its only useful on the boss because of the “2x drop rate”
