Doppelsöldner PvP

Seems like a really old vid, a lot of skills changed, PvP changed (chrono time stop doesn’t allow you to take damage anymore pretty sure, and there aren’t leftover fireballs from previous rounds).

Just some things to keep in mind, also all the gear is now standardized.

Can you show me where you got that Chrono time stop info about it wont allow any damage taken when caught please.

:frowning: would be nice if instead of just stopping enemies, it also stops skills and once the time starts again, the skills all suddenly burst onto an enemy  makes more sense in my head. But then again that would be too OP …

From playing. I can confirm this as well. It’s the intended effect, after all:

Stop time of monsters within target area. Enemies do not receive damage when time is stopped.

Keep in mind though, the main purpose of this is to let your team set up for when stop ends. It gives you time to put up traps, charge skills, place fireballs, etc.

Can they still be targeted in the stop stasis?
I hope were still able to apply DOT’s/AOE’s on the targets allies/foes but receive no damage.
Also can they still be healed under the stop spell by their comrades that are outside of the spell circle?

Wait when you place tile skills like Fire Ball or Zaibas while under the influence of Stop, do the enemies still take up the attack charges of the skill without doing damage or do they do all the damage later?

We all have so many questions

probably this
I think they’re invulnerable when you stop time

but if an enemy is with sleep state you can hit him

I don’t know,I never tried in TOS yet because it was unavailable in iCBT.However, in the PVP videos there is plenty of work to be done in terms of balancing and glitches.

No, no damage occurs, but I’m not sure if it uses up damage charges (I don’t think it does). I think it basically just puts everything in the area into a phased state. It’s been a while since the situation happened, but basically I got stopped, then a wiz set up a pillar and a fireball on me (my position), where I didn’t take any damage until stop ended, then I started taking damage like normal (but was stun-locked / took too much damage to move away, and basically died ASAP).

And @Loztchild iirc you can no longer be targeted. As said above, I think you’re just phased.

so if i spend more time into my character … there will be no difference between me and other people in pvp ?

No, there’s stats/skills/class choices during advancement, which makes a huge difference.

It just won’t be gear that changes things, at least not in Arena PvP.

Keep in mind, they want to have tournaments/etc so balanced/standardized gear is one step towards that.

In the future when there is other forms of PvP (guild related/etc), perhaps there won’t be standardized gear.

PvP is generally the last feature polished in any game, aside from PvP-centric games of course.
I don’t feel like ToS will be balanced around PvP. If it was, classes like Squire and Alchemist wouldn’t exist.

It’s likely going to be that everyone interested in high tier competitive PvP will be funneled into a few different classes.
If you are coming to ToS only for the PvP, I would recommend forgetting about ToS for a year or two. Because it’s going to be a long time before it’s polished.

You have a point but people that are centered around PVP would like to get the feel of stuff while things progress.Comparing a PVP player that been there since launch and one who just started playing with all the new changes won’t be at the same footing.

I believe focus PVP players should still stick around even though PVP will be at worse from the start.Get use to classes costumes and some skills they perform even though some might change or disappear.

I was going to focus on pve, but after see that pve is so easy…
I changed my mind =p

Aren’t the dungeons hard at higher levels though? I mean yeah they can probably be soloed but with the boss spawning so many mobs instead of just 3-4 and a few traps make things harder? (not that PvE is hard overall just dungeon part)
