Hey guys. I’m brainstorming about a Doppelsoeldner build. Right now I’m divided between doing a PvP focused build and a PvE focused build.
The PvP build would go like that: Sword3>Hoplite2>Doppel2
And the PvE build would go as this: Sword1>Pelt1>Hoplite3>Doppel2
The goal of the pve build is to be able to tank. It’s mainly a con based build with a few points of str here and there to deal some dmg with cyclone and to level up easier. Lots of con should give me plenty of health and decent block rate, specially with the peltasta atribute, so I’m able to tank without holding c if the damage is not absurdely heavy. I’m a little worried about not being able to tank in ET (ofc I’m not trying to tank everything). The problem is that I also like PvP, and I’m worried that I will not be able to have fun PvPing with this build.
The goal of the pvp build is to buff up Restrain lv 10, jump in in PvP using Long Stride, and Cyclone people to death by stunlocking them. Cyclone also give me 75% resistance to negative effects, so, the way I see it, it should be effective. I’m worried, though, that there’s something that bypasses this that I’m not aware, and that I’ll be too useless in PvE to even do anything.
So, to all more experienced players out there: What do you think about the effectiveness of these builds in both scenarios?
TL;DR: Are these build good? xD
