Doesn’t cross guard put you in a stance? It’s useful but doppels are in constant animations and you have restrain to cover for that.
You have 2 skills that knock down at that point so it’s not that useful and the one in your swordsman tree has a higher Aoe hit ratio.
There’s a huge misconception/trap with crit attack that you have to watch out for.
50% crit attack is not the full critical strike. It’s for that flat amount that you get added after the crit happens. If you crit for 5000 and you have 20 crit attack then your damage is 5020.
You can get 600 crit attack if you go full STR at level 280 and so Highlander’s Passive will give you an additional 300. But that’s if you Crit. By level 280 your critical strikes are way into the 10ks so an addition 400 damage 50% of the time isn’t anything major to your dps. You’ll also crit at most 30% of the time with no crit resist involved.
(600 crit attack+600*Highlander passive) * 30% crit chance = 270 on average per strike.
Highlander’s passive only gives you 90 extra damage in this scenario. (less if the mob has crit resist)
You already have a skill that does shock in the doppel tree, and it’s funny because the cooldown is lower than the one in the Highlander tree. But 2 debuff opportunity doesn’t hurt. It serves to wonder if the opportunity to use both will present itself on the battlefield.
Catar stroke I’m only going by ear in hearing that it loses effectiveness later on.
