Recently I hit class lvl15 on my 275 cleric (rank8 advancement) and I decided to go Plague Doctor circle1 for r8 (my character is fully support oriented, and also has all points put into SPR). This advancement quest requires you to be poisoned 5 times by a specific mob in Coastal Fortress, and to be slept 5 times by a specific mob in Dingofasil District. At first this may sound simple enough, but there is a huge oversight in quest design here: Because of my char’s stats (SPR causes you to resist status effects, and I have 463 SPR with gear, 413 without gear) and the lvl difference (it has to be these specific mobs which are lvl210ish; other mobs and friendly duel statuses don’t count for the quest) it has proven to be virtually impossible for me to finish this quest. After hours of trying/150+ sleep attempts, only 1 has ever landed on my char. I’ve even had friends come and try to use the Crown skill to lower my SPR to 1, but because it is also a status effect it can’t seem to land on my char.
So far I’ve sent in 2 tickets about this, just asking for a simple greenlight/clear on this quest since the situation is obviously an oversight on the devs’ part and the quest does not reward any money etc/this is clearly a sincere request for help with a serious problem. Both responses given by the game staff seem pretty uninformed, and one was downright incoherent:
(The guy doesn’t seem to be aware that it’s hardly about the level and is almost exclusively about the fact that the amount of SPR I have makes my char resist like 95+% of statuses even from on-level monsters)
(The maintenance hes referring to not only had NOTHING to do with this issue, but it also took place before I even sent my ticket in lol…)
Anyway, this issue has basically become the straw that breaks the camel’s back for me. I’ve put up with so much nonsense from this game over these past months, and now even with a simple issue like this I can’t get any help from this game’s staff. It’s ridiculous.

After some time I eventually beat it. Try to grab more than one mob so they fire off their status effect skills more often.
