Tree of Savior Forum

Does tree of savior not want you to have friends or something?

you get bonus exp for going in random Que instead of queuing with your friends

and

you cant trade with your friends without being punished (potential system)

so why is this an mmorpg , just make it a single player game like bastion or transistor lol

thall shalt not dungeon with friends
thall shalt not give boss card to friends

thall shalt not have fun with friends

I don’t know if I should feel bad that you’re apparently the person I have given the most likes to lol

But I mean, once again, you’re saying something that has been bothering me for awhile and it makes sad about the game >_>

maybe the wad of cash hes waving is the only way to salvation

Except you can’t talk to them in the game because of the chat filter unless you want to take a gamble and risk the chance of that paragraph you wrote being completely censored.

Thou shalt not talk to friends.

Professional trolls do not need to chat =p to communicate

alll they rely on are their actions…the fellow trolls just need to interpret what he means
like spamming “sit” on a dead party member till they ress

Speaking of trolling. If you’re ever bored, the easiest way to generate maximum, guaranteed rustles, is to pick a day, pick a spot and start replying to people all day using the most cringe-worthy grammar errors.

Who’s instead of whose or vice versa.
There instead of their or vice versa.
Then instead of than or vice versa.
Use a/an improperly each time.
Intentionally forgot the apostrophe in who’re and do it constantly.
Write specifically so you need commas and just don’t use commas.
Use periods and never capitalize after them and do this for large paragraphs of text for maximum efficiency.
Intentionally mix up past and present tenses like, “She’s sat on the chair now! LOL” <— add a LOL for maximum efficiency.

If you keep it consistent for a whole day, you will generate unimaginable rage. And people will attack you with the assumption that you’re stupid when, in fact, you are probably smarter than they are so that gives you the upper hand to maximize the rustles.

Nah … i kinda gave up… im the gray peasent of the forums

The XP bonus from queue is because a randomly put together group isn’t as good as a fixed group. If you really have 4 friends with suitable classes, you will still get more XP per time.

And potential system is there to get items off the market eventually so that the market won’t be inflated with items (because more and more drop but none ever disappear).
Also that’s hardly any obstacle for friends? I just give my friend all equips he needs and he can use them just fine and even resel them. And material I only need to give him when he needs them for crafting or collection, so it also doesn’t matter that they become untradable.

NOT to mention that first 200 levels half classes exp much faster solo xD for example i simply cant play my Q3 with party, it makes no sense to lose 50% of exp… no1 else ever hits anything when randomly questing because i kill everything 1-2 shot, so why party Q_Q for friends that i pay with 50% exp loss

I wish this game is as awesome as Bastion or Transistor (I love SuperGiant Games) but it’ll do. for an MMO, I also am dissatisfied with the design choices concerning those mentioned in the OP; but based on the head dev’s “explanation” in his recent post in response to a goodbye post–it seems they’re counter measures to ‘cheating’ in the game. at one side you can look at it as negative reinforcement to botters that might plague the dungeons in premade groups. however, it would’ve been more fun if from the beginning partying with friends (from your in-game list not necessarily iRL) has some sort of bonus.

Hint: If you open a Relevation or something readable while in queue and exit out, you can cheat the system and walk around the area while still being in queue. You can even interract with things, open up shops and do whatever for the time being while you wait.

It’s one of those bugs that make me realize that it was probably intended you could do things while queue’d, but was changed at the last minute to prevent a whole bunch of random load issues. Though I haven’t tested range or what happens if you warp in the middle of fighting.

Korean MMOs are filled with developers who want to make a solo RPG but for some reason decided to go develop for an MMO instead.

(this is from a maplestory developer interview)

How do you find this info out? I’ve given out the most likes on the site, so I’m very interested in who I’ve given the majority of them to~
