Or do we have to actually kill the monster for the increase in DPK count? (Like Chrono skill Reincarnate comes to mind).

But all under 1 condition: Does Resetting even give DPK Drops? Until now i´ve never seen a DPK Drop via Resetting

I am asking this particular question because I read somewhere Change skill of Oracle does count towards the kill count objective … it’s not just “changing” the monster… Probably the same mechanic apply towards the Resetting skill as well, just with the loot DPK system instead.

Maybe try with easiest DPK drop… What could it be… hmm…
Clairvoyance shows you what the monster will drop and treats the enemy as ‘killed’ for the purposes of DPK.
Resetting increments DPK by one and recasts clairvoyance.
