Does enhance anvil on a sub-weapon and main weapon effect skill damage?

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Only auto attacks and skills that require the said sub-weapon.

I have tried it on my cannoneer, not having a main weapon + cannon does the same damage as having xbow + cannon when using Cannon Blast.
Everything aside from min-max damage should affect all your weapons (Like Arde dagger giving fire attribute damage to all your damage sources).
