I remember reading this somwhere after the “new” class tree system was introduced. It said something about how choosing a Class at an earleir Rank will give it some sort of power boost as you gain more Ranks. For example, if I went pure Wizard until Rank 3, and then chose Pyromancer at Ranks 4-6…my Pyromancer skills would not be as powerful as someone who chose Pyromancer at Ranks 2-4. Is there any truth to this, or did I mis-read somehow?
I think you must have misunderstood something… @_@;; (I hope, lmao)
I’ve heard nothing of the sort.
I… I think you misread that really hard. I don’t think that’s how it works. You probably read that previously you were not able to choose classes from previous ranks ie. you are a Swordsman and you go Swordsman C2 however at the next rank you want to go back to Peltasta C1.
Instead of being able to do that in the previous rank up system, you could only make a new character. That has since changed and you are able to go Swordsman C2 and Peltasta C1 now giving more variety.
If you do somehow find that post about having a weaker class because you chose it at a later rank, then … wow that’s seriously wrong.
I might be wrong on this but i think its related to the skill level, if you pick pyro earlier and do it 3x you can level the pyro skills until level 15 (not all of them), so if you go wiz all the way till you get pyro on a later rank if you cant do it 3x you will lose some of those levels on skills.
@nando20xx If I’m reading your post correctly you’re talking about the rank limit which from the kCBT I believe was rank 6 right? So if you get Wiz C3 Cryomancer C2 and Pyro C1 you’re missing out on skill levels (which should be obvious if you check the skill simulator) of Pyro C2 and C3 and Cryo C3 right?
My only concern with this post is that the rank limit shouldn’t be 6 but instead is like 7-10 I think unless they change their minds again.
Thanks guys. I was hoping I misread something. Someone may have just mentioned that you can get max level skills for certain classes earlier on if you choose them first. For example I can max pyromancer skills earlier if I go pyro 3 at early ranks rather than later ranks.
Well this is technically true… because you’ll have Pyro C3 at an earlier level than if you got it at a later rank. Also, class EXP required to rank up each time increases by a fair bit so you’d take longer to get the max level of skills.
I’m not sure if this is still reliable and current but here is a Class EXP Table.
