It should work. I think it works like blessing, where it just adds extra damage to all kind of attacks. I’m not sure if it’s the exact same thing as blessing where will be calculated several times if you have sacrament or fire enchant.
If it works like that I’m pretty sure it’s much better than a staff if you have sacrament and/or fire enchant for spells with many smaller hits like electrocute or hail. For a spell with one big hit like Meteor staff will propably be better.
since magic attack doesn’t scale much except by the quick cast, I think even for meteor, Arde Dagger would works better.
I don’t think the 150 extra damage will do much on a 20k dmg meteor. It needs many small hits to make a difference. 10 hits from hail would already be 1500 extra damage.
I mean, since the formula is something like
Skill Base Damage + Magic Attack + Arde Dagger Extra Damage
Rod and Arde Dagger will have more combined extra damage than just a staff. So they works better in every situation (unless there is a scaling on magic attack).
It does, it increases the damage of all your skills and extra hits (fire enchant, cafrisun set, etc)
For a spell with one big hit like Meteor staff will propably be better.
Why? Rod + Arde is the same thing as using a Rod with +153 magic attack, which will end up being better than any staff that it’s not orange, and even then, depends on what you are comparing.
And if you awaken Arde Dagger it will have an additional bonus to magic attack (about 60 or so) o_O.

Yep. Arde dagger seems to be THE option for too many classes right now, it’s just not worth using two-handed weapons most of the time anymore because the dagger is just too good.
If im not mistaken we dex barbs are the only class the doesnt use arde dagger xD
I think two-handed-bow archers doesn’t also.
Anyways, doesn’t anyone else think this Arde Dagger is not working as intended? If it was me designing it, it would only affect those who already have some fire damage somehow.
