Does anyone get crappy latency from OCE to SEA servers?

I contacted ToS Support regarding this matter but I feel like I got an automated response.

The response was the typical “your fault, your internet etc” but how is it my connection when other servers are fine :frowning:

Anyone see what I’m seeing depicted in the screenshots?

SEA servers are basically unstable and has high ping from OCE, but NA servers and even Japan has a stable and lower ping than SEA.

What could be the issue? and does anyone else have the same issue?

Learn more about peering.
Your ISP just happen to have bad route to SEA. Just because it is nearer, doesn’t mean your internet will always use fastest route.

I used to get an average ~120 ping when connecting to SEA servers from OCE on Dota 2, I guess it must be my ISP huh. @aolgado1 article seems to be the most plausible reason.

Sea server is on SG…
Might as well consider that.

I’ve been getting real bad ping spikes the past few days (3-4 days) myself. I knew the cables were out, and have been for a while, but up until a few days ago it was just consistent latency. Now everything freezes, occasionally I slide about, and it takes 3-4 basic attacks for one to register.

Is something wrong aside from the cables?

u gotta cross that sea to reach sg.
