FTFY. Better said anything but bees.
Pets in RO were good but as far as i remember thereâs a chance that the pet âruns awayâ if the owner dies. Kinda bad that some pets have good stats boosts that people wouldnât probably use in fields/pve content due to the fear of losing the said pet.
The pets in RO, like TOS, needs food. Some food are more rare and more expensive than others.
Pet obtainment is RNG over RNG. Pet taming item is a low-drop rate loot sometimes, and because of this, it sometimes become expensive. And having a pet taming item doesnât guarantee a sure pet, instead, just a âchanceâ. Hence RNG over RNG
IMHO
Well, gimmicks were something else to do in-game, but the rewards are hardly worth it, and the conditions to trigger some are still vague (?).
One such good gimmick is grynas torch defense, drops are RNG but eventually youâll get all the parts. All you have to do is check every hour if the gimmick is on. Tho i actually stopped doing this after i got my whole set.
Other gimmicks rewards like ibre or elkosh were good until these items were put in cubes and until HG. Abrasive gimmicks are also good, but it seems that the drop rate is really low (?)
I liked this. RO had a LOT of incentives for people to not-die. Dying was really painful, loss of a large chunk of exp(which was hard to grind) and a bunch of other things.
Weâre starting to get those kinds of major incentives to not die in tos now at the higher levels. Huge silver losses and loss of cards on top of the gems at the lower levels. Big incentive to make sure youâve banked things properly.
We can always discuss the mechanics of acquiring/keeping pets. But the point is really the function they inferred - They were fun to have, and the large variety it created was cute.
I have a feeling part of the reason we donât have something similar in tos however is caused by TP pets being a strong revenue source. A lot of people buy TP pets.
This is honestly my most wanted feature though. Followed by marriage and proper housing, then more games. Just the basic derpy foundations of living in the world. Stuff like that is silly, but itâs nice, especially as an aside from just pursuing endless character progression.
Lastly I think I want entertainment. Thereâs no way that our characters would live in this post apocalyptic world and not want to die if they werenât doing something to relax and enjoy themselves from time to time. Thereâs SOO much death in the world, everyoneâs got to have a drink, play some games and relax from time to time, even Revelators.
If you donât mind me asking what video card do you have and are you running Windows 7? I have actually been trying to work at figuring out what is causing this because these are the bane of my playing existence. Going from my old video card to new one they actually started going away to almost not being a problem. Same system, new video card, less problems which is actually a start to figuring out why here.
These are my activities of sitting here testing stuff most people donât because I really want annoying things fixed.
Windows 10 and the gpu is an R7.
I actually have fewer problems than people on nvidia cards, bizarrely. Itâs kind of nice being on AMD and getting fewer problems than other people for a change.
Old and in need of an upgrade but itâs good enough for tos. Runs perfectly.
Actually. Come to think of it - I CTD when opening my friendslist since the last update. That hasnât occurred in weeks but is completely consistent at the moment, I just donât open it now.
EDIT: I should probably add that I also use the Japanese voice pack for the game. Since that might have some sort of difference due to different gamefiles being loaded to most people.
Kawaii~~
Need a return of WoE style pvp. Need a silly hanaming pet to replace my old poring pet.
@Awoooo
@ophiuchu
Win10, Nvidia Gfx, and AMD cpu.
Rarely crashes (maybe once a month).
However, the AMD cpu is known for making all charactersâ heads spaz out when looking in the NW or SE directions. Sometimes, on a per game launch basis, the wind effects on plants will become exaggerated making the world look like itâs being ripped apart by some bad 90s SFX bullshit.
TOS 100% need world PVP woe style, instanced GvG is not that good imo. Open world PVP is far more unpredictable.
I donât think the core gameplay would be so bad if they stuck to some of the older design principles to spice it up. They got so lazy with the ânew contentâ and became overly reliant on dailies.
What happened to event bosses like Dullahan and Kubas? Or other cooperative map events like âdefend the thing from the hordes of enemiesâ? If there was something like that happening every hour or two on some of the high level maps so that you had something to give you a break from just farming mats all day it would improve the game greatly. Not to mention more world bosses that are worth killing and not a hassle to go comb through some low level map to find. Most world bosses arenât even about the fight any more, theyâre a tedious game of hide and seek if anything. Hardly anyone ever forms a party to kill the high level ones.
One thing they also could do is revamp the card battle system >.<
Thereâs like, so much room for improvement, old-school FF card-games were always fun :<
They should make a dedicated minigame thatâs not just RNG for all the cards you collected. Maybe like Gwent and have hero cards like Ausrine or Vakarine then have tourneys once or twice a week.
And they will only give talt
Sure we could also just invite a bunch of people in shout to play dungeons and dragons.
How is that actual game content?
Or were you being sarcastic?
You could also ERP with your favorite ~grinding~ party mate or take photos of Archer pantsu but thatâs not actual game content.
How dare you???
